I took my usual seat in the back of the class, huddled against the corner of the room. There was a wide berth of desks around me that no one would sit at, which was normal. I was that weird kid that would sit in the back of class and would never talk, drawing in a random notebook. The kid with no popular friends, or any friends at all really. Let's just say that I was the quiet and awkward kid, that wouldn't talk unless anyone asked. But, I was fine with that. I preferred to be alone.
"Ok class, so today we will be working on our landscape drawing. Also remember, today is the last day for you to work on it. They are due! Any questions before we get started?" My art teacher looked around at the other students. No one said anything , so she continued.
"Ok, go ahead and go to your drawing places, I need to go to another class so don't be to disruptive." Everyone nodded and left to go outside to the courtyard. I had decided to stay and draw the classroom in detail, so I pulled out my sketchbook and continued my work. As I was finishing up some of the detailing, I felt something strange at my side. I looked up and was puzzled when I saw nothing there. I shook my head, thinking that it must have been a draft or something. After a few minutes it continued, but I forced myself to ignore it. Then, finally a while later people began to file back into class, indicating that it was almost time to leave. Thankfully art was my last class, so I finished my drawing and turned it in, packing up my things as the teacher came in to dismiss us.
"Alright class have a good day!" Everyone rushed out the door and towards the courtyard, where people met up with their friends. My teacher flagged me down before i left. "Emma! I'm excited to see your work this time, I'm sure it will be even better than the rest!" I mustered a smile and thanked her, heading for the back gate towards the bus stop.
