Looking over her heavy luggages, Teyana heaved a euphoric sign of relief. She suddenly felt a sense of peace and also fear. She was leaving all her friends and family behind in New York city to a small town called Shadow hills. After loading all her boxes into her yellow buggy, she got into her car and started the 7 hour drive up.
"Being with you was a complete waste of time, who still wants to wait at twenty- five? There are other girls out there so fuck you"
Derek's words rang in her ears. She felt like a fool for not listening to her friends, they never really like him anyway. She swore off men after she caught Derek in bed with another woman, his ex, who he claimed was just his friend, how stupid she felt for that. She had finished almost all the liquor she had saved up for special occasions two nights before in hope of drinking away her sorrows.

Teyana yelled with fraustration as the ten year old buggy stop along the road.
"Could this day get worse than it is?" She thought to herself as she sat on the road side while sobbing. The December weather was cold and sad and that was not how she imagined spending Christmas eve. After what felt like ages, she felt a light tap on her shoulders and all at once she felt rage towards whoever it was that was disrupting her peaceful sob.
"What do you want from me?!! Can't a girl cry in peace in this country any more? What? " she yelled at whoever it was while a stream of tears flowed down from her eyes.
"Woah, woah, calm down, I'm just trying to help. A storm is coming, you cant sit here and look, you are freezing" the stranger said
"Leave me al----" she tried to punch the mysterious man when she took a second to look at him. Standing before her was the most beautiful man she had ever seen, perfect jawline, symmetrical face and "woah" was all she could think. But just as quickly as she had those thoughts, she remembered that her goal was to find herself- away from men, being helplessly in love with man who was no deserving of it was what led to her so called "messed up life".
"What do you want from me? " she asked wiping the tears from her eyes
"Look, miss, a storm is coming, all roads up ahead are closed and if you dont come with me now, you might die and I don't care either way" he said looking pissed
"Wait what? " Teyana asked confused
"Get on, we need to move, I have a cabin, we can stay there till the storms calms"
"You want me to get on a motorcycle? Are you crazy? "
"Got any better ideas?" He asked and she nodded negative
"Then get in".

" Here are some warm blankets for the cold, would you like a cup of coffee, tea? Ryder asked her . Teyana looked around in disgust. The cabin he had taken her too wasn't exactly where she had imagined to be.
"Do you live here? Oh, I mean, how could you live here? I could give you somebody for a hotel or something, this place is nasty"
"Excuse me? I saved your life Miss thing, the door is right there, you can leave if you want to!" Ryder replied in anger
"Well, maybe I should!" Teyana said storming off
"Look, its freezing out there, stop joking around and get in here"
