"Come on, Faleron!" said Sebastian. Faleron was Sebastian's little brother. Sebastian was an adolescent dragon, and Faleron was still a fledgling.

"But I want to play!" whined Faleron. He doesn't get to play very much because without their parents, who had been killed by rogue dragons, life was hard.

"We need to go hunting, Faleron. This isn't the time to throw a fit. We haven't had the chance to hunt with those adult dragons around. Let's go." Said Sebastian in a tone that left no room for argument.

"But I don't like killing other things!" cried Faleron.

"Faleron! If we don't, then we will starve. You don't want that, do you?" Sebastian said getting quite irritated with his little brother.

"No! Not at all. I want to have a lot more time soaring through the sky first. I want to spend more time with you too, Bastian." Faleron said in a quiet voice.

"It is alright, Faleron. We need to get going though." Sebastian said starting to fly off, but pauses and waits for his little brother.

Sebastian and Faleron went on their way to find something to eat, they soared for hours, but failed at finding something to eat. All of a sudden, a huge shadow passed over them. They looked up to see an elder dragon, the largest and most powerful type of dragon. A dragon with blue fire. He had already spotted them. They started diving downwards to the ground and the huge dragon followed. Once they hit the ground, they ran to the shelter of the trees. While they were running the spotted a huge adult dragon, not as big as the elder, but still huge compared to the two. It was chasing them! As they got into the trees, with the adult dragon right behind them, the elder dragon hits the ground in between them and the adult dragon. Sebastian stood in front of his brother protecting him from the two. Sebastian knew he would have no chance against the two dragons right outside the forest, but he would try to buy his brother some time to run. He then realized the two dragons were fighting. He stood in amazement as the red and blue flames hit each other, it was like a whirlwind. The deafening roars from both dragons drowned out all other sounds in the forest. The fight went on for what seem like hours before it finally came to an end. The adult dragon flew off and the Elder was still on the ground. The elder turned to face Sebastian and Faleron and laid on the ground showing he meant no harm. They stood there and stared at each other for a while. All of a sudden Faleron bolted towards the colossal dragon.

"Faleron! What are you doing?" Sebastian bellowed. Faleron was too the dragon within seconds. He stopped a few feet away from him. The giant dragon breathed out hot air inching closer to Faleron on his belly, trying not to scare the tiny fledgling away. Faleron then started walking toward the dragon and stood nose to nose with him. He stared at him for a moment and then nuzzled him. To Sebastian's surprise, the massive dragon nuzzled him back gently. Sebastian slowly came out of his hiding place, he was a lot more wary then his younger brother.

"Why do you hide in the shadows, young one?" The enormous dragon said to Sebastian.

"There is no need to be scared. I am not here to hurt you. I got news of two young orphaned dragons and started making my way here. I am Lordian and I am here to help you." The dragon, now known as Lordian said.

"How do we know we can trust you?" Sebastian said slowly coming closer.

"Have I not proved myself to you? I could have let that dragon kill you and your brother seems to be just fine." Lordian said looking down at Faleron who has nuzzled into his side. Sebastian was silent because the dragon had a point. He did just fight off that dragon and he had not hurt Faleron. Sebastian walked up to the dragon and stood nose to nose with him.

"Young dragon, you are quite the character. I have lived 1200 lives of men and I have not met another dragon like yourself. I realize you are hungry though. There are no animals other than small ones around here. Let us go eat." Lordian said standing up and starting to fly off.

Faleron and Sebastian went with Lordian and ate until their bellies were stuffed. Lordian made them an offer to live with him. Sebastian thought about it that night. It would mean protection for them both and Faleron would be able to enjoy his younger years. He made the decision to go with him. Years went by and Sebastian and Faleron grew. 200 years later, Sebastian was now a young adult dragon and had finally realized he had made the right decision in trusting the massive dragon. He had become the parent that he and Faleron needed.
