A pair of emerald green eyes flashed, zooming past the crowds, adrenaline high on levels; her ears immune to the noise, her legs running for her life as she searched for her family. 7

A grin passed her face, family. The word was unfamiliar for her to think about, let alone say, but it felt nice being in being said a family. Not a proper one but it felt to her as it was, she finally spotted a head of the familiar jet-black hair, sticking up in places,

"HARRY!"

Before she could even reach his shoulder, the crowd moved like the sea; a riptide pulling her away from land, and Harry was that land. She climbed up a pole and began her search for him but no luck, as she began to climb down; someone had struck a curse on the pole, cutting it clean into a half sending her to crash head first on the hard dirt floor. 7

Her scream joining in with the other mix of noise going about in the air, just then, Harry turned around and screamed,

"Catherine!"

I woke up to the familiar scent of eggs and bacon, my vision was obscure (even with my glasses on), I managed to put on my shoes and walk down the stairs; trying hard not to fall on my ass, I gripped hard on the wooden banister to steady my posture but as usual no luck.

For Merlin's sake, I look and feel like a drunk, my neck was wrapped up in bandages feeling like hell stomped on them. Once I walked in the kitchen, there were no traces of any life form there. Just a plate of breakfast foods sitting on the counter top, nothing else, I went outside the garden and front yard as well and yet no people. I went back upstairs and looked through Ron's room, nothing.

I've been to Ginny's room, still no people.

Percy's was empty aside from a mountain of papers on his desk.

Bill and Charlie's rooms were also empty, I went in Fred and George's room and it was empty as well. I turned around and bumped into a wall, it felt moist and warm, which struck me curious what the hell it was.

I felt a hand pull me up by my arm and re-attached my glasses for me, "You had a nasty fall there, Em, I swear you get clumsier every year." A voice said mockingly.

I know that voice... I wiped the vapour off my glasses and saw Fred, in nothing but a towel. His red hair was damp and sticking up at some points, he smelled of still smelled of soap and that Muggle stuff called "Old Spice" I think,

"Where is everyone?"

"Diagon Alley, mum and Ginny went to fit Hermione for your robes since you two are the same size, Harry went to Gringotts to open your vault, Ron, Dad, and George is picking up everyone's books and stuff."

"And why is it you got left behind?"

Fred leaned in closer to me and whispered, "Then who'll take care of you?" He said, staring into my eyes for a good 2 minutes. "Very funny, Freddie, that's a real charmer. If you'll excuse me, I'll be in Ginny's room." I said. Then he laughed, "Suit yourself, you just gave up to see the greatest show in the universe." He said, indicating his towel which was wrapped around his waist. 4

This time, I couldn't help but laugh along, "I'll see you later, Fred, fully clothed, at that." I said, closing the door behind me. Well, that was weird. I walked back to Ginny's room, closing the door behind. I looked at my ring which was shining violently; I pushed down the stone and received the call,

Me: Hello?

Draco: Where in Merlin's name have you been? I've been worried sick!

Me: Sometimes I think I'm the man in this relationship.

Draco: Well pardon me for being concerned about my girlfriend's well-being. 2

Me: Touching. What happened last night?

Draco: *A long pause came through then a deep breath* Death eaters, they were everywhere. They burnt the camp to the ground.

Me: Were at least some of them caught? Did someone get hurt?

Draco: They all escaped before the Aurors arrived, and I believe you were one of those who got hurt.

Me: Big deal, I almost die every year. It was just a fall nothing to be worried about.

Draco: You broke your neck.

Me: How the hell did you even know that? I didn't even know that.

Draco: The Weasley girl sent me an owl, saying about your little fall and that the Healers fixed you up. 8

Me: Wow, that's nice.

A few minutes passed by them, silence filling up the spaces.

Draco: Well I should-

Me: I have to-

Another long pause...

Draco: I love you.

Me: I love you too. 1

Draco: See you at the platform?

Me: At the platform.

The door slammed on Draco's end, and then a familiar French accent spoke through.

Eleanor: And in the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.

Me: Eleanor, bonjour! What are you doing at Malfoy Manor?

Eleanor: *laughing* Draco, can you give us a moment?

Draco: I'll be back in half an hour, love, don't believe in anything she says!

Me: Is he gone?

Eleanor: Aye, so how are things going for you two?

Me: Really going well, Elle. Say, where's Edgar?

Eleanor: Oh he's probably playing Quidditch with Draco now, but never mine that; I want to hear every juicy detail when you stayed here with my cousin.

Me: Well, there's nothing much to say, Elle. We just had fun.

Eleanor: Not too much fun, I assume.

Catherine kept quiet for a few seconds. 2

Eleanor: Ohhh! Something did happen, tell me!

Me: *nervous laugh* Draco's there, isn't he?

Draco: Sorry love, she forced me.

Edgar: And me.

Me: Hi Edgar

Edgar: Hi.

Draco: He's the only one that gets acknowledgment? I'm your boyfriend.

Me: I know that, I have hickeys to prove that. Seriously, Draco, it's been 2 years.

Eleanor: What? Just hickeys? No sore muscles or what not?

Me: You are sick.

Edgar: Excuse me, ladies and Draco, I'm going to the yard before I pass out here due to this sickeningly sweet and perverted conversation between my perverted sister, my cousin in-law and my cousin who is dating a girl way out of his league.

Door slams

Me: Did he just call me his cousin in law?

Draco: I think he meant me.

Me: Oh, so what? You're a girl now?

Eleanor: You are a bit out of Em's league.

Draco: Shut up.

Eleanor: Whatever.

Me: You girls done now?

D&E: Yes.

Eleanor laughs then the door slams.

Draco: I am so sorry for her.

Me: Don't be, she's a joy in this relationship.

Draco: Very funny, Catherine.

Me: It's what I do best.

Draco: Oh, what shall I do with you?

Me: Love me?

Draco: I already do.

Catherine never had had this longing to kiss Draco, she often did have the feeling but lately it was all she could think of. Draco on the other hang had the same longing towards her.

Eleanor: Guys, I'm still here.

Draco: For the love of Merlin, Eleanor!

Eleanor: Sorry, sorry, just forgot my wand.

Draco: Seriously? Even that you forget?

Me: Hey, kids, shut up!

D&E: Sorry.

Me: Draco, Diagon Alley in 10 minutes?

Draco: I'm on my way. 1

"And where do you think you're going?" Fred asked looking over his copy of the Daily prophet. Catherine cocked her head, "I'm just going to Diagon Alley, okay Freddie?"

"Well, better suit up then, it's a bit nippy outside."

"The sun is up."

Fred folded the newspaper and took a sip of his pumpkin juice, "Even with the sun up, it's going to be cold for you."

Catherine had her hands on her hips, "And why's that?" she asked curiously. "Catherine, you're still in your very revealing night gown."

Her cheeks went blood red, grabbing the nearest coat clutching it close to her chest, "You had to wait for a solid 10 minutes to tell me that?" Catherine shot. Fred shrugged, "I had a nice view." Catherine cursed, stomping back to Ginny's room to change. She walked right down, looking at Fred, "Better?" 1

"Much."

Catherine took the flower pot containing Floo powder by the fireplace, "I'll back in the afternoon." She said tossing the powder in the green flames. Fred waved goodbye, "I know there isn't much sense saying this but... be careful."

Catherine managed to laugh, stepping into the flames, "I'll try." She said with a wink,

"DIAGON ALLEY!"

~

"Hey, Ron, do you think Catherine would like this?" Harry asked, holding up a thick leather bound book. Ron narrowed his eyes, "What is it?"

"It's a book about how wizards were burned a few centuries ago, along with a few of the most disgusting spells I have ever seen, and wizards who had the most inexplicable powers."

"Oh, she'll love that alright, she might even sleep with it." Ron commented admiring the leather cover. To be fair, it was an eye catcher. The book was embossed with gold markings, the leather was ebony black, and the title was beautifully engraved on a small gold plate on the front.

Ron gave the book back to Harry then looked at him, "What if Catherine already has one of those?" he asked.

"Oh, don't worry, I don't have those."

Harry dropped the book on the floor, Ron jumping behind him; Catherine smiled and hugged the boys, "That never gets old." She said between laughs. Ron looked ballistic, "What the bloody hell, Catherine?! It's like you're killing me without even trying."

Catherine smiled and gave him another hug, "I do my best every day, Ronald. Say, where's Ginny?" she asked looking around Flourish & Blotts. Ron collected himself, still in shock from Catherine, "She's at Madam Malkin's,"

"Great, I'll be back boys." Catherine said, kissing them both on their cheeks. Harry watched as his sister ran across the stores, looking back at Ron whose face was flushed, "Are you... blushing?"

"What? Of course not!" Ron said followed by a nervous laugh, covering his cheeks with his maroon scarf. Harry laughed as he put the book on the counter, taking out a few Galleons,

"Whatever you say, Ronald."

~

"It's beautiful, Draco, I'm sure Emilie with love it." Eleanor said her accent thick. "Thank you for the encouragement and it's pronounced Catherine." Draco remarked. Eleanor rolled her eyes in his direction, "Oh for the love of Merlin! Emilie, Catherine, what is the difference?"

"The pronunciation?" A voice chimed behind them. Draco and Eleanor turned around and saw Catherine; he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tight, "I am never going to let you out of my sight."

"Draco, like any other being, I need air so if you'd please."

"Right, sorry,"

Eleanor nodded and gave Catherine a small kiss, "It's good to see you again, Catherine." She said. "It's good to see you too, Elle, have you been giving Draco hell lately?" Catherine asked deviously. "Ever since I got here." Eleanor said grinning at Draco.

Eleanor slapped her forehead and looked at Catherine, "Oh right! I completely forgot, Catherine, I would like to introduce to you, my dearest friend, Annabeth. Annabeth, this is my cousin in law, Catherine." Eleanor said.

Annabeth was very pretty, her hair was auburn and was styled straight with bangs, her eyes were mahogany brown, and she wore a powder blue blouse with a logo of Beauxbatons on her chest. Catherine shook her hand and mustered a smile, "Hello, Annabeth, what brings you here in London?" 8

Annabeth smiled brightly, "Oh no reason! I just wanted to spend time with Eleanor; it's really good to finally meet her famous cousin in law." She said with a giggle. Catherine laughed awkwardly and motioned to Draco, "It's good to meet you too, and Annabeth, if you don't mind; Draco and I need to get going."

"Of course not, take all the time you need!" Annabeth said airily. Catherine dragged him outside then faced him, "So, what's she doing here?"

Draco looked at her oddly, "She just told you-"

"No, what is she really doing here? Are you saying she flew all the way from France to be with Eleanor?" Catherine asked harshly.

"Yes! Her mother and father are staying with us; her parents are from the French Ministry of Magic so they're here because of business reasons." Draco said tiringly. Catherine nodded, satisfied, "Alright."

"Wait, you don't think..."

"No, I don't."

Draco smirked, grabbing her hand, "Are you jealous?" He asked, leering over her.

"In your dreams, Malfoy." Catherine sneered.
