I woke up to the sun hitting my face filling my freckles with sun rays. I groaned and shifted around so I was in the shade,  I was never one of those people that would bathe in the sun and become relaxed from its warmth, I was more attracted to the rain. Sometimes people at my school would call me "the depression of the century" I always cringed at the nickname. I'm not depressed,  I just enjoy the soothing patter of the raindrops hitting the ground. I thought to myself. I rolled off of my bed lazily which resulted in me falling on the ground "GAHA!" I wailed as a thud sounded through my room.  Then I heard a scream from downstairs "What is going on up there?! " It said.  I laughed to myself,  my mom always was concerned for my safety,  even if I simply stubbed my toe. "Nothing mom! " I replied.  I got up and started dressing for the day.  I was going to visit my aunt for the week, I never liked my aunt,  she reminds me of those counselors that make you talk about things you find way to personal to even mutter about,  they push you to your limits to the point where you are crying your eyes out just begging to leave. But she was one of my only family members that were close enough to "watch over me" For the week.  I smelt something coming from the kitchen,  and instantly speed through the Hall and down the stairs.

"Aren't you going to eat? " My dad asked sternly.  I placed my fork down just tell them Finn,  you never know, they could finally change their minds. "So I was wondering.." I started.  My dad raised an eyebrow as my mom sat down beside us.  "Maybe... You know.." I tried to speak but the nerves caught up with me, causing my voice to cut out and my fists to clench slightly.  "It's alright darling" My mom said reassuringly rubbing my back.  I closed my eyes tight and rushed the words out of my mouth "I was wondering if for once I could just not go to aunt Gloria's this time" My eyes shot open at the sound of my mom's tea being spat out. "oh my goodness! " She spat as she ran to grab a towel.  I turned to realize my dad was giving me a death glare.  I gulped as he opened his mouth to speak "we've talked about this." He said strictly.  "I know b-" "No!  We have talked about this thousands of times finn. You WILL go to your aunt Gloria's house,  and there is no fuss about it. Understand? " He said while staring at me with an intensity in his eyes that could shrivel the toughest of souls in a second. "Understand" I muttered.  My dad was always the one that demanded things,  while my mom was always persuasive.

"Good, Now get packing. It's a long drive and you have to take the bus so you can't be late. "
