I was at school, my school, probably the worst school around but... isn't that what every kid thinks. Every kid thinks that their school is the worst. I was walking to the lunch room where everyone was at that time of day. It was around mid-day and we were all having school lunch. The lunchroom is the biggest part of my school, (it's even bigger than the sports hall) it has leaderboards where the best kids in the school or the smartest, get put for their achievements in lessons. As I was very good at all of my subjects, (not bragging much) I was on most of the boards but I wasn't on any of the sport related things, I wasn't very popular because I was smarter than the other children they would call me names like a 'Nerd' or a 'know it all'. As a lot of people don't like me I have sit by myself because it's easier and other people won't get annoyed for me sitting next to them. In the lunchroom, there is a huge clock (an old wooden clock dating back to the 19th century) which can be seen everywhere in the room. It would make a big 'Bang!' every time a lesson starts. I sit always on the floor in the same place when I have lunch, because there isn't any room on the tables and because nobody likes me. I sit near the entrance of the lunch hall near all the bins because its quicker to put the rubbish away so I can leave and get to the playground, where I would read my book or draw imaginative things that were not real, but one day when I was eating my dry pasta and lumpy tomato sauce, a few popular kids came over to the bin to put their rubbish away and these kids are the most popular kids in the school and everybody likes them (There is Philip, Jason, Josh and Elliot) and Elliot came over to me and he said,

"Hey" I was shocked that he spoke to me because he is one of the kids that call me names. I was quick to respond when he came over, with a fast replied with a "Hello" I looked down over to Jason who was standing there with his 'IPhone X' and his really expensive earphones and then I saw him, Josh. My heart started beating, quicker and quicker, he was the cutest person in the school and I like him, I wanted to date him... but he didn't like me he hated me as much as his cute face could. I felt myself get warmer inside as if I was in love, well I was. He was the nicest looking; the cutest person there ever was in the school. His hair flowed amazingly, his eyes as bright as diamonds, his teeth as white a pearls. He was the Gem to my collection, but that gem was a hard gem to collect, a hard gem to find. Elliot picked up the bin which was next to me, which is the normal bin that I put my rubbish. The bin was overflowing with uneaten food from the past day and he shook it. He took off the lid and threw it to the floor which made a CRASH! It got literally got everybody's attention you could hear a pin drop in the room now it was very quiet. Even the kids who were listening to music heard it.

Everybody looked at me. Elliot and Josh and the other popular kids all staring at me like a hawk what just caught their lunch. Elliot shouted out "Nobody Likes Nerds do we!!" and the whole lunchroom, as if it was an earthquake, echoed with a huge 'No!' Elliot turned to face the crowd, with this stupendous foul-smelling Garbage bin in his grasp. He elevated it over my head as I looked up following it with my eyes, dripping all over the floor was the putrid grease that had been in the bin for the past week or so. Memories and thoughts flashed through my head remembering exactly every bad thing that had happened in my life. I looked at Josh the only person that actually looked sad. He saw me looking at him and he turned away... as if I was as welcome as a fart in an elevator. My heart sunk like the Titanic when it hit the iceberg. My feelings and emotions went to the place where the most of where I was, in the gutter. All of a sudden the bin that Elliot had been holding in his grasp for that long time was tipped all over me. I was covered head to toe in greasy food and lumpy pasta sauce. I just stood there, I let all of my emotions out, I just wanted to cry so I did, I cried and I cried and cried until I was ok when my emotions were finally stable I took the bin of my head and everybody had gone. They just left me by myself... apart from one person. She just sat there just watching for me to say something. I spoke up saying "Why are you here, you're meant to be in lesson..." She replied "No I don't" I was shocked that she was actually speaking to me. It was the first girl that had spoken to me. "I don't have to go anywhere if I don't want to," She said. I was shocked she was breaking school rules for me. I felt my heart, it felt normal in the right place as if I was a completed the Jigsaw again but I wasn't. Nobody has connected to me not one person. I finished the conversation by saying to her "Thanks for staying, but I think that I should go and get cleaned up" She didn't reply as if she was a robot who was programmed to only say what she said.

I walked down the abandoned hallways of the school, not a whisper was heard, not even a squeak of a mouse; I walked into the Bathroom to get cleaned up but unfortunately, Josh was in there. He looked sad as if he had been crying. Anyway, I walked into the bathroom where Josh was and I tried to be as quiet as it was in the hallways around the whole school but for the person who he was (a person with tiny ears but amazing hearing) he caught me. He said quietly (with a firm pat on the shoulder) "Are you ok?" I was quite shocked he said that because he is one of the kids that 'hate me' I replied with a confused "Yeah, I Guess..." he replied to me and he said" Yeah that's good I'm gonna go to lesson now bye" I was shocked that he touched me, I was happy that he did. It was the closest we had ever been. I started to go red in the face; I liked him, I thought about things that we could do in the future if we were together. The ideas were flowing in. The ideas were like Skydiving, Dinner in Paris and Skiing Holiday. I was thinking about things we could do for if we were together in the future for around an hour because I heard the bell go off again.

It was last period when I walked in back into lessons and my teacher (Mrs. Short is her name and it's quite ironic because she is very small) looked at me when I walked into the room it felt that everybody hated me even more than they usually did. As if I had changed into something they all hated even more. I walked with little pace to my desk watching the other kids who were staring at me and following every move I made as if they were statues they could move their heads, I sat down at my minuscule wooden desk which had all of my equipment on the floor because somebody had taken it out of my drawer and threw it on the floor as if it was just rubbish. I opened the drawer to put all my stuff back and it was full with little notes, probably hate letters like I normally get from people that don't like me. I took out my art book -which was covered in doodles I had drawn when Mrs Small was going on about the work- which is the same type of book that everybody else had out. I started to draw I went into my own little world where everybody actually was kind to me and I drew exactly what I was thinking.

I was drawing for the rest of the lesson, which is good for me because I was being creative, and I saw that I had missed out on a lot of work. The work I was meant to do that lesson nobody completed it. The reason behind this is that Elliot, Jason and Philip was telling everybody about what happened at lunch, everybody was laughing at me and throwing things at me like pens and balls of paper. I nearly got hit by a spitball but Mrs Small caught Kieron about to do it. I felt a shiver go down my spine as if somebody was watching over me I felt them breathing down my neck. I felt cold. I felt sick. The last bell of the school went (end of the day) in the lunchroom and every student got ready to leave as it started echoing through the halls. Everybody grabbed their belongings and homework as they left the room. I could have chosen to pick up both homework sheets but I chose to pick up the easier sheet just because I can't be picked on for it. I left the classroom and I walk up the playground. There was a bin full of paper and it reminded me to go and get the hate notes so I could read them later. I ran back into the classroom and grabbed the entire note stack and stuffed them into my pocket and ran off up to the buses. I could have chosen from a few buses but unfortunately for me I had to get on the bus with all of the kids the hated me I walked up the bus and there were a few seats left but amazingly they were 'taken' so I walked up even more and Josh was there he didn't put his bag on the seat so I sat down next to him. I don't think he noticed I sat next to him; he was just looking out of the window still as sad as he was earlier. I sat there and waited for the bus to pull away from the school and as he pulled away Josh fell back on me and he just looked at me and I just looked him, my heart beating faster and faster with my pulse going through the roof as he lay there. He sat up from there and as he got up we touched hands it was as quick as a flash but that moment lasted for a long time. I went red again like I usually do when he is near and he said to me after he got up "Sorry" I was ok with him speaking to me now because I knew he was upset he said to me just before the bus stop "I guess this is our stop", I asked him as we were walking off the bus "Do you want to walk to school with me Tomorrow?" I was thrilled I was going to spend time with Josh and I was gonna have good fun walking up. We both walked into the house we live in.
