1. Here Lies a Man.

My hands bleed within my labor of providing
My thoughts are strengthened through prayer
The days proceed with little reason
As to why it is, we exist.

A man who didn't ask to be nothing more
But I am here.

With my hands I reach between the firmaments
Unraveling the secrets to another dimension
Cannot this journey be less of ease?
I am already here.

I have yet to faultier on my legs
Building a legacy from birth
To last for eons, but I fear the ions
Will play catch up with our way of living.
I am already here.

I am a MAN
Who was crafted from blackness.
I am a MAN
Who seeks to understand equality?
I am a MAN
Who has faulted, I have sinned
I cling onto songs to sing
They melodies provide me with new meaning.
I am a MAN
I have found meaning through love.
The mistakes I undergone
Restore the wisdom that I lost.

Who among you is a saint,
I ask quietly?
Who among you can raise your hand
And say I am not perfect?
Perfection is alive/
Living somewhere deep.
I require sleep
To live out my dreams.
My sheep run a flock and
I am there shepherd
They disobey me
Even as thy rob and staff comfort me
I fault myself for not doing better.

But this here be a man
Whose flesh is not mine to own
Whose words at times are not mine
And yet I love my mate.
Her faults make up for my fallout
Her loving is beyond divine
I do believe that I should give in before
She isn't mine.

But this here be a man
Whose flesh is fragile at best
Whose wisdom lies in his brain
His muscles are that of a child
But I will fight till there isn't none left.
