Once upon a time in a land named Yangzwa, a king and queen were celebrating the birth of their first children, twins. The children were chubby babies, dressed in fine clothes, and were laying in a crib made of gold and silver. Everyone from all over the land had came to see the future rulers of Yangzwa.
Yangzwa was a land that was so beautiful no other could hope to compare, full of green fields, lush forests, deep canyons, high mountains, dark blue oceans, rushing rivers, and magical creatures of every division imaginable. Yangzwa was also the most fertile land in all of the realm. All kinds of crops grew there, from a the backyard water carrot to the giant fields of blue basrters.
Suddenly, the trumpets on top of the castle walls blew the alert signal. All the visitors froze, fear plastered on their faces. Then came the screams and the courtyard broke into chaos, people and creatures alike were running, searching for the exit. The queen and king swept their two sons into their arms and fled into the castle, their guards right behind them. They sprinted through the castle, down the stairs to the castle's' cellar, and opened a hidden passageway out of the castle. They ducked into the small opening and entered the dark tunnel, the guards above closed the trapdoor just as the invaders rushed into the room.
The king and queen ran down the tunnel, fumbling in the dark. After what seemed like hours they reached the end of the tunnel and burst into the light of day. They looked back to see the smoke rising from the castle, looking away from the sight of their burning home and the audible screams coming from it, they started away from it.
They traveled for many months, on foot, before they came upon the remains of another attack. The king gave the queen the child he'd been holding and went to look for survivors.
He'd been gone for less than a minute when his screams pierced the silence, screaming for them to run. The queen took off running, carrying both of her children. She ran around a tree and straight into a party of Yangzwaean soldiers.
"They took him!" she sobbed. Half the party ran towards the destroyed town, hoping to save the king.
"Here give me the youngest, and take the eldest and hide." the captain told the queen. She gave him the youngest of the two, and disappeared into the forest with the others.
