"Right, let us proceed to the bowling alley," I announce before looking out of the passenger window.

"Yes ma'am," he smiles broadly and sets off.

---

When we get there, he tells me to stay in my seat, I obey. I watch him as he jogs round to my door and I notice his biceps for the first time, he opens it up with one swift movement.

"Liam, have you been at the gym lately?" I ask him whilst stepping out of the car.

"Oh, um, yeah I have actually..." he looks down at the ground, ashamed almost.

"Li," as soon as I say my nickname for him he looks up, surprised. "Don't be ashamed, and if you don't mind me saying, you're looking goooood," I playfully wink at him and he winks back. We begin walking to the bowling alley.

"You know Louis and Niall? Are you out with either of them?"

"Oh, no..." I debate whether or not to mention that Louis asked me to be his girlfriend. I decide to play it safe and suffer the consequences.

"Sorry, I was just curious, I wasn't sure if you were going on this date thing just so I won't be upset," I feel a small lump form in my throat when I realise that that was pretty much the only reason I did agree to go on this date.

"Of course not," I say quietly, "I just thought I had barely spoken to you recently."

"I thought the same," he smiles sweetly at me. We walk side by side but with a small amount of space in between us. I swing my arms in time to a song I'm singing in my head, well, I say singing, it would be more like remembering and repeating what I can remember of said song.

Liam and I walk up to the doors, Liam opens them and motions for me to go in. I nod gratefully and slowly begin walking up to the counter.

"Hold up! I have a reservation," Liam calls to me. I nod again. He walks up to me and then past me to the counter behind me. "Um, reservation for Payne?" The male behind the counter looks about fifteen, he has spots over his face and he looks incredibly bored.

"What was the name?" he asks in a monotone voice, whilst looking at the computer screen that was on the desk behind the counter.

"Uh, Payne," Liam repeats.

"For two?" He glances at me and the back to Liam.

"Yeah," the boy stands up and walks over to the shoe rack, calling over his shoulder and asking us what shoe size we were.

After successfully getting the right shoe size, the boy tells us we were in lane 9 and we could order food at any point. I had only been in here once before and hat was when I was fourteen at my best friend's birthday party. Liam leads me over to the right lane and starts plugging in information at the little computer thing each lane has.

"I'm just saying, I'm pretty rubbish at bowling..." I say whilst walking up and down behind Liam.

"I'm rubbish too, so don't worry." He gets upp after a few minutes and then we start the game.

----

Liam won.

He had 87, I had 43.

"Told you I was rubbish," I tell him after we handed our shoes back.

"Ha-ha! It couldv'e been worse though," he replies.

"I got over half my balls in the gutter, I'm surprised I even got past twenty!" He laughs loudly and I giggle in response.

"Well, whatever the case, it was a fun time."

"Agreed," I say whilst nodding and smiling. We walk back to the car slightly closer than before.

----

"Thanks for tonight," I sa cheerfully whilst skipping up to my front door with Liam following me.

"Hey no problem," I hear him say behind me. I take out my keys and put them in the door, turning them until the lock clicks and the door opens. Liam takes my arm softy and begins rubbing smal circles into it. A thing he used to do when we were out.

"Liam..."

"Sara, listen. I'm sorry I broke up with you. I was such an idiot and I was blind. I didn't see how amazing you are."

"Liam..." I repeat, trying to get him to stop talking. I didn't need another guy on my list.

"Sara. Will you take me back? I'm lost without you and I am so sorry for last time. It's haunted me." The look in his eyes made my heart  swell with sadness. He means it. At least it seems that way.

"I'm sorry Liam," my mouth moves mechanically, I know what I'm saying I just can't control it."I'll...I'll get back to you. I'm sorry." I open the door and slip in a goodbye and a thank you before, quite frankly, rudely closing the door in poor Liam's face. With my back against the door, I wait for the sound of Liam's car to leave. It takes five minutes, and with each minute came with an urge to call out for him and tell him he could have me back.

I didn't though.

I take a deep breath in.

Last one tomorrow.

Dear Lord not another one, not like these two. Please.

I can't handle it.
