we are fed it since the day we're born
we become addicted to it
so that when we don't have it in our systems
we don't feel alive
happiness is a drug created
by the evolutionary process
of mankind
created to keep us from thinking about things
and about how they are
and about how we have no control
so that we don't kill ourselves
and our species can continue
happiness is a chemical
specifically formulated so that our brains become so addicted to it
that we'd rather be ignorant and happy
than wise and depressed
all the geniuses were suicidal
because they knew too much
they knew too much than to let the chemical take over their lives
and control them
and make them do the same thing every human being on the earth is doing

because even if I do die
so what?
not like I proved anything
does it matter if you live or die?
if you kill a thousand men or save a million?
we like to think it does
so we can feel better about ourselves
we like to think we get rewarded by going to heaven if we were nice
so we don't have to face the reality that is
existence
because existing is just as much a curse
as not.
