Chapter 4 (The Wall)

     Ellis woke up and walks to her bathroom and gets ready for the day. Today is the day she goes to IOM, to change categories. She felt awful, scared like she was going to vomit butterflies. Her mother didnt believe in her and that made Ellis not believe in her self. Then her phone in her room rang. The phone was disconnected from the house phone so no one will be eavesdropping on her conversations..or she will be getting random calls.

    

      Ellis ran out the bathroom towards her white phone that floated off the table towards her, it recognised that she was coming towards it to answer, creepy. She picked up the phone, "Hello?" her smooth voice cracked as she picked up. Her brown wavy hair swayed into her face, and she used her pointer finger to put it at the back of her ear.

     "Hey, I just wanted to wish you luck." Ellis was surprised and happy that it was Tommy who was on the other end.  "Tommy im afraid..." Then Ellis stopped and asked "Toms, when do you take it? The category thing?" Then it was quiet on the other end. "They hear our calls, how about we go to the place...our place we are always at. Where no one can hear us-" "I get it Toms...I know" she laughs. "But my test is at 7:30, I leave at 7:00" "Okay then, I will be on my way now."

     Ellis grabbed the bag she packed and walked down the hall, right down the hall was her mother Judy's room. The door was halfway open, so Ellis opens the door and walks in giving her mother a kiss on the forehead. She leans on the bed and goes to a white glossed drawer at the side of her beg, that a few feet away from the bed side. She grabbed a picture of her, Judy, and Eddy.

     Then she walked out the hallway, and walked up to the slanted picture frame, of her and her family at the waterpark. Her and her Mother Judy were to lazy, or busy to even pay any mind to that photo. Over a year. Now the floating picture wall seems much more brighter, and organized.

     Ellis walked down the hall way, and walked down the opposite direction into town. She walked down where the forest is  and behind that forest is The Wall.

    Ellis walked through the forest and walked towards the wall. It was a white bricked wall, that started being built underground, it is super thick, and is so evenly created it wouldnt be expected to fall down, nor be able to knocked down. The government and scientist specifically created it to seperate differnt categories. Ellis found it a magnificent peice of work. She adored it. And was simply fascinated.

      "Hey wall glazer!" spoke tommy. Ellis looked up and laughed and gave him a hug  Then they sat down on a pile of leaves and looked at how high it goes. Planes arent allowed to fly that high. Talking about planes planes only fly, in a emergency, or holidays.

     Tommy looked up and spoke "I wonder what category is on the other side. I have always wondered...like what if you get chosen there. Ellis laughed, better hope that is not a bad category.
