The True Strength & Horror of Humans

Humanity

  Often the Yuph Core has been called a war-mongering race by fellow members of the Galactic Citadel. But this species, humans, take the mantel for that.

  On plant Earth, in sector 942X, where their civilization has only barely touched the tip of space travel; they have become barbarians down on their soil.

  When we had first arrived the humans were shocked, pressing this advantage we sent down our ships to conquer the capitals of this planet. Somehow though this barbaric race managed to put up a fight.

  Their weapons had managed to damage our units that we sent down. Shocked by this we decided to interrogate a human that we had captured, to figure out how what looked like a primal species had managed to put up a fight.

  "How?" Yuph commander Yayl asked.

The human simply raised an eyebrow at the commander, infuriating Yayl.

  "Your species, who has barely even explored space, and yet you can repel our attacks."

"Humanity evolved through bloodshed you alien scum," spat the human prisoner.

  "You humans are so weak and fleshy, and yet it's as if an external force allows you to go forward and continue fighting." Yayl continued, his curiosity showing on his face.

"Our emotions allow us to do that, through feeling of courage and duty, we will forever hold out against the known and unknown." The prisoner replied.

  "Our race has evolved past feeble emotions, they can only lead to your downfall, and yet you humans use yours to your advantage?" Growled out Yayl.

"Emotions can be bad, but they can help steer anyone into a clear path. Getting rid of yours is, if anything, a de-evolution."

  "We Yuph did not devolve, we only become stronger and better."

"Losing to a primal species is an evolution for you?"

  The human proved to be resiliant, it had even started mocking us.

  Eventually it had somehow managed to escape our confines and escape towards the repair section on the ship, grabbing a builder's tool, used to pull and push objects; able to be charged to apply more power, the human had managed to grab many items and kill a number of Yuph.

  We had managed to push the human into a corner when it did the unexpected, grabbing a large spiked piece of rebar the human stabbed through the tough shell of the Yuph.

  Initially we had thought that it found the med-bay and consumed the physical enhancers inside.

We were wrong.

  Humans are able to make their own 'super drug'. Adrenaline is what they called it.

  It apparently provides the human with extra strength and even made it immune to the emotion called 'fear'.

  After stabbing one Yuph the human stabbed 2 of the soldiers at the same time, connecting each other on the rebar.

  Finally, a soldier managed to hit the human. A searing red laser penetrated its left arm.
