Chapter 1: The Incident

The officer took Kyle and Ike to Stan's house and then left to go to the hospital to do tests on Sheila. As soon as Kyle gets in the house he immediately bolts up to Stan's room and jumps on his bed sobbing, he managed to hold them in on the way over but, being with the one who he loved, he couldn't hold back anymore.

Stan's POV: I felt something heavy on me but decided to think nothing of it, until I heard sobs. I started to get up and the figure did as well when I open my eyes, they go wide. Kyle, the person who I cherish the most in the world, is sitting on my bed, with his hat in his hands, crying his eyes out. Without thinking I grabbed him and pulled him close, trying to calm him down so he could tell me what's wrong. It broke my heart into a million pieces to see him like this. I look up and see Ike at the door, I look at Ike who has also been crying. Now I'm really worried about Kyle and Ike, its unusual for them both to be crying.

10 minutes later

"Are u okay, Kyle." Kyle looks up at me with the most angelic look I've ever seen, instead of answering he puts his head into my chest, I can feel his head going up and down.

"What happened? Where are your parents?" I instantly regret asking that, because now I had both of them crying on me, Kyle holding my waist crying into my chest, and Ike, crying into my shoulder while I hold him up with my hand.

"Stan, darling, are you okay? We heard crying, is everything alright in thei- "

I look up to see my parents looking at me with confused faces. All of a sudden the phone starts ringing and we all go downstairs to find out who could be calling.

Stan's Mom: "Hello"

Unknown: "Hi is this the March residence."

Stan's Mom: "Yes, um who is this?"

Unknown: This is the hospital, I am calling to inform you that the Brofvloskis' mom turned, they had to put her down."

Stan's Mom: "Wait hold up, what are you even talking about, is something wrong with Sheila?"

Hospital: "Do you not know the story?"

Stan's Mom: "No, what story?"

Hospital: "Are the Brovloskis' in the room with you?"

Stan's Mom: "Yes, why does that matter?"

Hospital: "Could you please ask them to leave the room, I'd rather have you tell them not me, you're closer to them than me."

"Stan, go and take Kyle and Ike up to your room, and don't come back down unless I say so.
Stan does as he told and takes them both to his room, where he will be waiting for a long time.

Stan's Mom: "So what happened?"

Hospital: "Gerald, the father, had gotten bit by something at work, it caused him to change into a zombie. HIs eyes turned yellow and became dilated, his teeth also slowly started to rot. He bit his wife, and when the police got there they took her into containment, she turned killing all of the doctors that were in the room with her, I am so sorry for their loss, this must be hard for those boys to go through, especially the little one."

Stan's Mom: "Ok, what happened to Gerald?"

Hospital: "The officers said that when they got there, he was dead, someone stabbed him right between his eyes, straight into his brain. They also said that it was the older brother who killed him, the little one gave him the knife though."

Stan's Mom: "That explains while those boys have done nothing but cry. Thank you for calling and letting us know, if they wouldn't have been crying we wouldn't have even known they were here."

Hospital: "What do you mean?"

Stan's Mom: "I heard crying from my son's room and I open the door to find them both huddled and crying on Stan."
Sharon waits for the nurse at the hospital to say something, she then realizes that the line is dead. And her husband is nowhere to be seen. Out of nowhere, there's a loud thud in the kitchen.

Sharon POV: "Honey, is that you, are you getting a late night snack.
Sharon looks over to see her husband, Randy, trying to eat Shelly.

"Get the HELL off of her!"
Next thing you know Randy was lying on the floor with blood oozing from the back of his head, Sharon had taken a frying pan off the wall and hit him with it, it took her a couple of seconds to realize what she had done. In those couple of seconds, the three that were hiding upstairs came downstairs, they all looked on with worry as they saw blood on the floor and Sharon with a frying pan in her hand.

Stan POV: "Mom, is everything ok?"
Kyle POV: Stan sounded like he was on the verge of crying, I gently hugged him from behind to show that I was here, that I could comfort him, he slowly nuzzled his cheek into my arm. Meanwhile Sharon tells them what had happened, me and Ike had already cried all their tears, although they wanted to cry even more after hearing about their mother, Stan was trying not to cry after hearing about his mom having to kill his father, and Shelly was trying not to flip out, but I don't blame her I was the same way when my dad tried to eat me.

Sharon's POV: "We have to get out of here Stan, Shelly go upstairs, find your biggest bag and pack your bag with clothes. Kyle, Ike, you two come here and help me fill up bags with food and watch your back okay kids."
All the kids nodded in agreement and went to do as they were told. They put the bags into the trunk and started to head off to the town's border only to be stopped by a giant wall.

Stan's POV: When we pulled up there they asked us why we were leaving, and my mom told them what happened to Kyle's parents, and what happened to my father. The guard said that we couldn't pass because we had been in contact with the "infected" My mother argued and tried to let us go out of the town, but the guard still said no, even when my mom started crying. As we were going down the road, looking for shelter in the town that would soon be destroyed due to the apocalypse, my mother stopped the car and said that somebody's door wasn't shut all the way, before any of us could check to see,a walker showed up banging on the door closest to Ike, Ike panicked and undid his seatbelt and went to Kyle for safety. My mom started driving down the road, not realizing that the door was open and Ike wasn't in a seatbelt. The next thing I knew we all got thrown forward, due to my mother running into a tree, Ike went face first into the floorboard of the backseat, he then crawled out forgetting about the walkers that had basically surrounded them. They all realized what happened and realized that Ike was missing until they heard a scream. They looked outside to see Ike cornered by a dozen walkers, Kyle tried to go save him but, I wouldn't let him, they were already eating his arm. My mother took the time to put the car in reverse and leaving to continue looking for shelter. When she did my heart broke into a million more pieces, along with Kyle's. The apocalypse had taken everyone one away from him, except me. I am not gonna let myself get turned into one of those things if it meant I had to be away from my Kyle, even if it meant I had to lose an arm or a leg. I love you now and I always will Kyle Brofvloski, nothing will change my feelings for you.
