Her little flaw (Chapter 2)

''Hmmm.''

''You're finally awake.''

Daiki immediately get up to hear that unfamiliar voice.

''Who are you?!''

Colonel Kota raised his brows

''Is that how you treat your savior?''

''I'm asking you. Who are you?!''

She was completely ignored by the man.

''If you're feeling better, get up and do your job. My children are behind their studies because you're sleeping. Get up, now!''

''Are you..Colonel Yabu Kota?''

''Yes.''

''I'm sorry.'' Daiki jump off the bed and bowed to the man.

''Fix yourself and follow me to my study.''

''Yes.''

She pouted and shrugged. He's so serious

She courteously knocked on Colonel Kota's study and lightly opened the door.

''Colonel?''

''Come in.''

She entered the room and found the colonel sitting behind his table with four children.

Woah! The Colonel is a very busy man. (If you know what I mean..LOL!)

She bowed to the kids, which they also answered courtly.

''Children. She is Lady Daiki, she will be your new governess.''

''Daiki. These are my children.'' He pointed to his right.

There's a beautiful girl with chubby-cheeks and perfect semi-curl locks.

''My eldest, Ryosuke. She's fifteen.

Insecure  Daiki muttered to herself.

''Next, Yuto. He's fourteen.''

Over-protective idiot.

''My second daughter, Yuri. She's twelve.''

Evil and spoiled

''And my youngest, Ryutaro.''

Smartass!

''They have their own nurse, thus all you have to do is to see to their studies.''

''Just their studies? Why didn't you just send them to the town school?''

The kids gasped at her.

''Are you questioning my way of raising my children?''

''No, Colonel. Absolutely not.'' She met the man's piercing glare.

''Breakfast is at 7:00 and their first class starts at 9:00. You will show me your lesson plan for the entire week and report to me their progress on a weekly basis. You will allow me to decide on the lessons and activities they will be doing.''

Then why did you hire a governess? Why don't you teach them yourself?

''And Ryutaro, he takes extra classes for he's..he's..''

''I understand, Colonel. I'll  give him extra class for advanced children.''

''You really know your craft.''

''I take pride at what I do.''

''Very well. Since we started a little late today, you can rest. You can start your class tomorrow. You can walk around the manor to familiarize yourself.''

''Thank you, Colonel.''

Daiki woke up early the next day and prepared for work. They all bid goodbye to Colonel before they went to class.

Daiki scoffed to see that the children arranged themselves according to their age.

Borrrriiinnnnggg. Oh, well.

''Good morning, children.''

''Good morning, Lady Daiki.''

''Did you all have a goodnight sleep?''

''Yes.''

''That's good. Let's start class, eh? Where are the materials?''

Yuto stood up to answer. 

''My lady, all the materials are inside the the top most drawer of your desk.''

''I see. Thank you, Yuto.''

She opened the drawer then something cold and slimy jumped to her face.

''Croak!''

''Kyaaa!'' Daiki fell on the floor tripping on a waste bin. Creep crawled on her entire being when she heard slithering sounds.

''My lady!''  Ryosuke looked horrified while pointing on the floor.

''S-Snakes..Snakes!''  Daiki crawled like a baby, away from the snakes and picked Yuri and Ryutaro. 

''Yuto, get Ryosuke and run!''  The boy at first froze like an idiot but nodded. He grabbed his sister's hand and dragged her out of the room.

Daiki stumbled on her own feet and fell, she hugged the two kids tightly letting herself slam on the floor. The nurse and servants came rushing to them and screamed to see so many snakes, frogs and several other bugs in the room. They all struggled to close and trap all the creatures until help could come.

The kids started laughing while looking at the servants and Daiki.

''What an idiot! Those snakes aren't poisonous!''  Ryutaro was giggling.

''Did you see her face? It was so funny!'' Yuri was laughing with Ryosuke and Yuto.

''Yeah, she looks like this!''  He made a funny face imitating Daiki and the kids started laughing again.

''You...you did those on purpose?!'' 

''Yeah,it was really fun.''  Ryutaro made a high five with his older brother.

''Your father will know about this!''

''Yeah. Yeah. Like we care.''  Ryosuke nodded at her little sister.

''I see.'' Daiki narrowed her eyes as she looked at the kids.

''M-My lady. Let us treat your wounds.''

''Wounds?''

''Yes. Your head is bleeding, my lady.''

Daiki touched her head and felt something wet. Her head really is bleeding.

The kids stopped laughing and looked scared. One of the servants helped her support herself.

''Nurse, help the kids clean themselves and change their clothes, then send them to the library.''

''Yes, my lady.''

She faced the children and gave them her instructions.

''I want you all in the library in an hour, do you understand?''

''Y-Yes, my lady.''

''Send someone to clean up the room and remove all those things inside. I want everything in order before the Colonel comes back.''

''Yes, my lady.''

She turned her back on them and walked back to her room with the servant. She was limping and her body's aching all over.
