Chapter 1. Coming back to sleepy hollow

My name is Rose lee Cran, my brother's name is Ichabod von Cran. It has been 3 years since the incident in the small town of Sleepy Hollow. Me and my brother are constables, and yes I get much hate about being a working woman. They always say I should be at home cooking for a man, but I say I am a capable of caring for myself and I don't need a man in my life to make me happy. I mean don't get me wrong I would like to have kids but with a man that will love me for me. Oh I apologize I got too much off topic. Now let us continue on with the story.

Me my brother have lived together since we were young and we have never really separated since our mother's death, but now that Katrina and young Masbath has moved into our lives it has become much more interesting as of late.
A knock on our door startled me out of my book and alerted me too young Masbath running to the door. As young Masbath came back my brother and I looked at him in a questioning manner. "The courier came sir, ma'am. Umm... Sir there is a letter for you and Miss Rose." "From whom may I ask?" Replied my brother. "From the judge sir." He said while handing my brother the envelope. "Well this is a predicament...." My brother said as he looked up at me. "What is wrong brother?" I asked him. "Well it seems the horse man is riding once again, and Sleepy Hollow wants us to come back my dear sister." " But brother you can't, you have a baby on the way with lady Katrina." "That is why I said this is a predicament my sweet sister." He said well lightly glaring my way. "Oh... I deeply apologize my brother.... Why don't I just go so you can stay here with your wife Katrina." I say. "Sister you know I don't like you going alone". I was about to give him a piece of my mind and say I was very capable woman but young Masbath spoke up first. "Why don't I go with her sir?" My brother looked at him in a questioning manner and signal him to continue with his words. "Will you see sir, I would like to go back to my birth origins, even if it is just for a time." He said well looking at the ground that apparently was very interesting at the moment. "I guess that will have to do for now, but I'm putting you in charge of my sister to make sure she doesn't get herself in trouble. Oh and also you need tell me how long you are going to stay and keep me informed by letters." He said in a demanding tone. "Yes brother, yes sir." Me and Masbath said simultaneously. "Well then I guess I should write them and tell them that my sister is on the case." My brother said happily. Me and young Masbath shook our heads in agreement.

                   ~Time Skip~
As we where interring the couch (even though we had to talk Katrina into letting young Masbath coming along) we hugged my brother and miss Katrina and finally set off on our journey back to Sleepy Hollow.

Several hours on the road young Masbath was the one to start the conversation. "Miss Rose do you remember when you though lady Katrina was the mastermind behind the killings and you and Mister Ichabod where going back to New York?" He said looking at me. "Yes I do young Masbath, why do you ask?" I say staring right back at him. "Well I remember you kissed my forehead when Mister Ichabod yelled at me and I was about to cry..." "Yes I remember that and I did do that on purpose. I have always wanted a child to call my own. Ever since I met you I have felt that you are like my child in a strange way." I smiled sweetly at him and lend over and kissed his forehead. "Now get some rest young Masbath we have a long journey before we reach sleepy hollow." "Yes ma'am" he says and lean's back shutting his eyes and falling asleep. I looked out the carriage window while he's soft snores filled the quiet carriage.
