Do I love you? Do I want to be in your arms? Do I want to feel your warmth and comfort even if you're not with me?
I may not know the answers to these questions but I do know that words hurt. They sting as bad as a fire burning through your skin, ripping off all that could protect you and in return leave you marks that cannot be healed any longer.
You say you don't love her, you say she's just your friend, but I know that she feels something far greater than just a friendship. I can tell, as easily as I fell for you she is now in my position and in the position another girl was before me.
How long will this last? Will she be just another one of your puppets that you can transfer your pain for? Will she be the object of your mere pleasure for whom you long to hear at nights? For whom you'll tell your sorrows and pains to like you did with me? Will you want her warmth and reassurance now?
It's only to be known for me that she wants that from you too, and you're blind enough to believe she's merely no more than your friend. Your meaning of friend may have changed from the past months, for the words you share with her carry much more than a simple friendship. I know, I've been there. I've written and read them before. But I shall not say, I shall keep quiet and let her fall into another wormhole you're creating. Let her be addicted to your words and what you call sincerity
May she be smart enough to not be caught in your claws that will drive her off her conscious wanting more from you, may she be free sooner than later
And you? I hope no less from you than to set your wings out and fly off to a place where you cannot make any damage to anybody. A place you'll be free of any pain. That's what I want for you and if that may come for me, so be it.
Walking away from me was easy, now let it be worth something.
