"Oh, I know Hazel! " Kari said brightly.

"Please spill." Leo rolled his eyes.

"Fine. Hazel Levesque. Really sweet kid. 13. Almost always wears a Dr. Jupiter's Orthodontics shirt. Extremely shy, hates crowds and also hates small enclosed places." The girl began, closing her eyes.

Nico growled low in his throat. "Yes, weird girl, I already know this. Hazel is my younger sister!"

Leo shook his head at Nico. "Don't get mad at her. No thought to speech filters."

Kari ignored Nico's outburst, continuing her thoughts. "Hazel was last seen on Friday night, six days ago. Frank Zhang and Perseus Jackson took Hazel back to her hometown of Seward, Alaska, for the tenth anniversary of her mother Marie's death."

Nico's jaw dropped. "How in the hell do you know this shit?!"

"I have sources. My cousins work everywhere in this town. Walmart, Old Navy, Kroger's, Game S--"

"Okay! We get it!" Leo sighed loudly.

"My cousin Alexandrina works at the gas station right outside of city limits. She's the one who told me." Kari smiled serenely.

"Alright. Come on. Thanks for the help." Nico said happily, standing up.

"Take me with you!" Kari pleaded, sensing that they were leaving. "Please!"

"Why should we?" Leo raised an eyebrow.

"My uncle, who lives with us, has a 2013 Toyota Camry. You can drive it if I can come."

"Deal." Leo said instantly.

Nico looked uncertain. "Are you sure?"

"Yes! Thank you!" Kari ran towards the car, tripping over a garden gnome in her yard and crashing face first.

((A/N: What do you guys think of Kari as a character...? Is she too random, too knowing, or what?))
