After school, I walked into the house finding my dad in the dinning room table filling out a bunch of papers. He glanced up, "How was the first day of school?" I shrugged, "It was alright, I guess. Did you meet your new client?" He nodded, "Turns out there's four of them, I'm apart of the 26 management team." I put down my bag and sat across from him, "Never heard of them." He just shrugged.

Putting his papers aside he asked, "Did you meet anyone from school?" I smiled, "Yes, his name's Cameron." My dad's eyes widened, "Cameron?" I was confused, "Yeah, why what's wrong?" He shook his head, "How did you guys meet?" My phone buzzed, interrupting our conversation-it was Cameron asking me to come over for the project. I looked up, "Speaking of Cameron, we have a project for biology. Can I go over?" He nodded and went back to filing out his papers.

I went into the bathroom and took my hair out of the braid, leaving it curly, then left.

I pulled into the driveway, following the directions he gave me. I walked up to the door cautiously, ringing the door bell. Cameron opened the door, "Hey come in." Walking in, it smelled like vanilla. His house was huge, every hallway seemed to lead to another. "Let me show you around," he took me around the first level then upstairs, stopping at the first door to the left. He opened the door and right away I could tell it was his. There was a huge stuffed animal on his chair, I laughed and walked over to it and picked it up, "Cute." He laughed taking the animal from me, "Someone gave that to me, thank you very much," he joked. Teasing him I said, "Your girlfriend?" He rolled his eyes, "Yes because girls definitely like me." I glared at him, "I've only been here for a day and I already know that all the girls are basically head over heels for you." "Kind of like you," he teased back winking. I punched him softly joking around, "In your dreams."

He walked out of the room, "Come on, I want to show you something." I followed him back downstairs and out the back sliding door. He kept walking so I followed, we passed the pool then the garden. Walking into the woods I realized what he was showing me, a tree house, He looked up at it, "I built it when I was ten." I traced his carved name on the trunk, while he started to climb-I followed behind him. Once I was almost at the top, he reached out a hand and helped pull me up. We both sat down, leaning our backs against the wall. I looked over at him to see him watching me, "Did you build this yourself?" He turned away and looked down, playing with his hands, "Growing up without a dad, I didn't really have a choice."

I shrugged, "I know what you mean, I grew up without a mother. It's always been just me and my dad." He looked at me and smiled. I glared, "What?" He shook his head then leaned it up against the wall, "You're different than what i expected." I furrowed my eye brows, "Is that a bad thing?" He smiled, "No, in the best way possible." I could feel like cheeks turning red, "To be fair, you're different from what I was expecting too." He looked at me, "What were you expecting?" I shrugged and laughed, "Now that is classified."

We stayed there for another hour just talking and laughing before I had to leave. I didn't know what it was about him, but I couldn't help but smile when thinking about him. What was I getting into...?
