Riley's POV:
I took one step out of my cab, and I looked up at the glass building. I took a deep breath and walked into the lobby. I was scared out of my mind for my first day as an assistant and I didn't know what to expect. I walked up the spiral staircase that led into my boss's office. The name Ethan Dolan was written on a plaque outside of the room.
"This is it Ri." I whispered to myself before knocking on the closed door.
"Come on in. I've been expecting you." Ethan said while looking over a stack of paperwork that had been piled up on his desk. I was waiting for him to tell me what to do when he looked up at me and gave me a grin.
Oh my god, he's so adorable. Oh my god Riley, he's your boss. I snapped out of my thoughts and gave him a smirk.
"You've been through the training so I know you know what to expect, so planning some meetings for the rest of my day shouldn't be too much to handle?" Ethan asked me waiting for my response.
"It shouldn't be too much Mr. Dolan. Thank you so much for this job." I said shifting in my seat trying to get somewhat comfortable.
He looked me up and down and then walked out of his office.
I walked over to the stack of papers and started to get to work. About thirty minutes later I had realized that it was time for my lunch break. I walked downstairs to where my coworkers and friends were all eating their lunch together. I found my friend Allison, and I saw her waving me to her table.
"Thank god you're finally here!" She said waving her arms, looking like the damn blow up man at the car wash and tire place.
There she was, one of my best friends looking as beautiful as ever. Allison has been there for me when I've ever needed someone to talk to. I have always been jealous of her; all of the men swoon over her just to try and get her attention.
I smiled and started walking over to the table, sitting down and crossing my legs.
"Hey girly." I gave her a grin, and I already knew what she was going to ask.
"What's up with you? How's your first day going so far?"She asked me, while she had a very concerning look on her face. She was the one that introduced me to Mr. Dolan, and gave me this opportunity. I didn't want to disappoint her but I also wanted to give her my thoughts and not to lie to her.
"It's so amazing, and I'm so lucky to have you as a friend! AHHHH" Seeing the excitement on Allison's face when I mentioned it. "I must tell you something though, something that makes me really nervous."
"Oh my gosh Ri, WHAT IS IT? I don't have much patience..." She bit her lip being frustrated with me. She got bored so she started eating her healthy lunch which was a salad from a really expensive restaurant.
"I really don't know how I feel about the boss, he's really intimidating. I don't really like the way he treats his employees, and it scares me a little." I explain, as Allison drops her fork just to look at me and then she just starts laughing. My mouth dropped, I thought she was going to be angry with me.
"Well obviously, he's a boss for one of the richest companies in the world Ri. I introduced you to this position because I knew you would be the perfect fit, and I knew only you could handle his ego and attitude.
