Matt's been acting weird lately. He is out nearly all day everyday and seems to be avoiding me. I don't know what to do. I fumbled in my purse and produced my phone. I rang him.
"Hey Matt!" I exclaimed, trying to hide my sadness.
"Hey Love." He replied, sighing.
"Are you alright?" I asked.
"Yeah." He said, sighing again.
"Something's not right. You've been avoiding me. Why?" I queried.
"I'm not avoiding you sweetheart." He groaned. "I've just been busy."
"Oh whatever." I said, stopping the call. I lay in bed taking deep breaths to muffle my sobs and failing to hold back my tears. How could I be so stupid? He's bored with me so he's looking for another girl. This is not what I want fans talking about.
Oh didn't you hear Lily James broke up with Matt Smith. I thought they were soulmates! I could see someone messaging another in my head. I hugged my pillow, embracing it as if it were my only friend. Sure, I had loads of friends but I never felt more lonely in my life. I had my face in the pillow, crying all the tears out of me. I couldn't bear not having Matt around anymore. He was the last person I'd want to lose. Wiping my tears away I called my brother, Sam.
"Hi Sammy." I said as I always did.
"Hi little sis." He replied. "How are you?"
"In the dumps." I groaned. "Quite literally."
"Matt dumped you?" He asked.
"Yes. No. Maybe." I said. "He's out a lot. Says he's busy. I think he's going to see other girls."
"That's what all girls say. I'm sure he's not. I'm positive he is telling the truth."
"Okay. If you say so." I replied, ending yet another short call only to be followed by a call from my agent Chloe. She talked about some new auditions and if I'd like to register for them.
"Could you call me tomorrow. I'm kind of busy right now. Sorry Clo." I said using my nickname for her. Matt came home early that night and I cornered him right at the front door.
"We need to talk." I said grabbing his sleeve and pulling him into the living room. "Tell me the truth please. I don't want any more secrets."
"What? Secrets? Lily what are you going on about?" He said, playing the fool. I stared at him, holding tears in. Finally I couldn't bear it and burst out crying. I ran straight to my bedroom and pressed my face into the pillow, curling up in the duvet. A while later, I heard footsteps and the door opened. I sat up and wiped my tears away.
"Lily? Have you.. Have you been crying?" He asked, sitting down next to me.
"You don't care anyway." I retorted, shuffling away and folding my arms. "What's it to you?"
