A long time ago when the world was first in the making before cars planes houses etc, animals and humans respected the Earth, Moon, and Sun. They were like gods to them and they faithfully prayed and respected these gods. However there is an old tale of a wolf and the Moon falling in love. One fall long ago a wolf pup and his litter mates were born. He was the largets and whitest pup they said he was the color of a full moon on the brightest night. His eyes were as blue as the icy ocean. They named him Badriya that means moon. He grew and grew but every night he would howl to the moon by the clear lake. The reflection of the moon he would sit in. Making him feel closer to the moon. As he grew older the other wolves respected him and bowed to him his strength and size was unmatched. They offered him to be their leader and pick of females as future mates. But he only said he didn't need a mate he was already in love. That he needed only that love. One night he went to the lake to the moon he ran down the hills and meadow quickly to be with his beloved. His beloved was bright and full once again shining on him and only him. He howled to call for his beloved. And there she spoke to him.

"My dearest oh my dearest, you are more than a faithful follower. You are my love, oh how I wish we could touch. I know I cannot give you the love you deserve however I can give you somthing that feels like my touch. I need you to go and find seeds, these seeds will call to you they're a tannish brown color like your mother's fur. Bring these seeds to me on the next full moon and I will give you a gift that will express my one and only true love. Howl to me and I will know its you." the Moon told him in the most loving and caressing voice possible.

"I will my love. I will come back to you on that day." he said before howling once more.

The wolf Badriya searched all over every inch in his territory and could not find it with only three days before the next full moon he knew he had to search further. So he left his lands and went looking in uncharted lands he never knew before. He met humans that bowed to the Sun an all his glory thanking him for their harvests. He met animals that thanked the Earth and her great gifts of replenishing their food. Finally near another pack of wolves territory he found the seeds. But unfortunately for him being in their land without permission, he was found and their alpha was furious. Declared a battle for respect. Badriya had no time to waste so he agreed as long as the alpha was quick. This made the alpha even more angry and he swiftly tried attacking Badriya. Badriya and him had fierce battle but what the alpha did not know was he had the power of the Moon. As her beloved she gifted him with strength and quickly Badriya put an end to the battle racing to his love. Just in time he got to her with the seeds. She smiled to him and gave him directions.

" Now dig a whole to place the seeds my love and pour water on them. I will do the rest." she said softly.

He did as he was told picked a spot not to far from the lake and placed. With his mouth grabbed water from the same lake they met every day and poured on the spot. When he finished he backed away. The moon shone so brightly unlike she has ever done before and little sprouts drew up from the ground growing and growing until flowers as white as her dearest popped out. Shaped like a star in the sky that sits right by her every night. He looked in awe and sat near the flowers smelling them.

"This is my gift to you. Though I may never be able to hold you these flowers can touch you. Though I may seem far away these flowers will be close to you always, they will bloom each night when my light shines on them. I hope you like them." she said in sad yet happy voice.

Badriya smiled and howled louder than he ever did. Howling that sounded like a song to his the one he loved the most. He danced in the shallow lake to his darling bright light. Like it was his spot light. And as the years passed he did the same over and over as he even cared for those same flowers. As he grew old he told the story to the pups and showed them his beloved. Taught them to howl to her the way he did to express their gratefulness to the Moon. When he finally passed from old age the other wolves from his pack brought him back to his beloved's flowers. They left him their to return to the ground to flourish the flowers and future buds to come. Every night the Moon would shine on his resting spot and the flowers she gave to him. As If returning to him still like she promised so many years ago.
