Women and young teenage girls have been talked down to and rejected because of what they wear. Yes, it's their choice but why do we have to call them mean names? Why is it teen girls and women that are treated like this? We should stand up and fight for what's right, but how do we know what's right when people like Trump say that women should be cooks and cleaners and not scientists or engineers. "Back when George HW Bush was US President, Trump spoke to Esquire magazine about the media:'You know, it doesn't really matter what they write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass.'"The movements such as the #MeToo movement and the #Times up movement are examples of what I believe in and that Trump doesn't act like he believes in.
One of the biggest women's rights that i believe in is the women's right to choose. At the My Body My Choice Project they say "Every woman has the fundamental human right to live safe and secure in her body and to make her own decisions regarding her body. Every woman has the right to equal access to health care, education, job security and mobility, and government.". This affects me because I have heard and experienced some terrible things and this helps me believe that there is hope that more people will understand that we are human too.If we could march and chant about our rights we could make a change, even men have been marching for women. I have been in two women's marches in Santa Cruz and San Francisco march in April of 2018.Thouse marches were important to me because they gave me hope that one day we will be treated the same.Us women are powerful, but we are held back and hurt by people who don't believe that we are all equal.
Why do we all do these things, is it because of how we are raised?. I know I was raised to be a good person ,and I didn't want to be bullied or hurt by others. Do you want to change the world and make a difference? I do, but how do we start?
Some things we can do to is make banners , posters, essays,slides. Some ways I model the golden rule "Treat others the way you want to treated" is I make sure to tell an adult if people are being bullied or teased and i make sure to not bully or hurt others.In conclusion women and girls still are important t in our world.
