The Final Samurai

Long ago in a distant land lived uncivilized people and the only order were the samurai but after the war there weren't very many samurai left. The few that remained lived as mercenaries, either as a thug or a bodyguard but anything that would give them a warm meal. Our little story begins with a boy named Kiuyno and he wants to do good by doing the right thing and helping people. On his 17th birthday his father who was the master smith in his village forged him a katana so he could use it to save and help people who needed him.
As Kiuyno's first job outside his village he was to protect a woman and her children while their father was away to sell cattle and buy food to grow, from any unwanted visitors. Kiuyno wasn't very skilled with his katana when it came to attacking but he was very good at close combat or hand to hand combat which his father taught him at a young age.

Once he showed up Mrs. Fisc told Kiuyno that a gang of thugs has been trying to steal their food for a while but her husband had a crossbow and they wouldn't try anything while he was here but once he left they took charge and stole most of their food and crops. Kiuyno understood and when it started to turn night he made sure to put her children Rin and Ersa to bed and then he headed out to keep watch for the thugs.

A few hours had past and the thugs hasn't shown up yet so Kiuyno thought he could rest for about 5 minutes and so he sat down and as soon as he did that he heard a scream come from inside so he ran in and Mrs. Fisc was being chased by a rat, he giggled for a moment than he grabbed the rat and threw it outside.

Kiuyno asked Mrs. Fisc a question and that one question turned into a deep and long conversation. As Kiuyno and Mrs. Fisc were talking the thugs snuck around and climbed through Rin and Ersa's bedroom and as they climbed through Rin woke up and screamed alerting Kiuyno and his mother and they both ran into the bedroom to find 4 thugs and the children taken captive.

Kiuyno reached for his katana but realized he left it in the other room so he quietly and slowly started to walk back to the door but as he reached the door one of the thugs caught on and he ran to Kiuyno and cut his arm but in that same instant Kiuyno got into the other and grabbed his katana. The thugs thought Kiuyno was a skilled samurai so they slowly let the children go as the 5th thugs walked up behind Kiuyno and jabbed him in the side with the handle of his sword. As Kiuyno fell to the ground the thugs ran out of the building leaves the children there and so Kiuyno chased after them but by the time he got there they were all in a line with their swords drawn and ready to fight back.

Kiuyno dashed toward one of them and kneed him in the gut jumped in the air and kicked another thug in the head but as he reached the ground the other 3 thugs already surrounded him and dashed at the same time. Being as inexperienced as Kiuyno was he couldn't dodge them so they all 3 cut kiuyno. One cut on the leg another on the arm and the last on his back. Kiuyno fainted from the blood loss but not for long because he was determined to be a great samurai.

By the time the 3 thugs got their 2 friends up Kiuyno was already standing and ready to fight, so they last 3 thugs charged at Kiuyno without their swords drawn so Kiuyno tripped on punched another then head butted the last thug. Kiuyno was in no shape to fight but these thugs were not done quite yet so neither was he, the first thug to get on his feet went for a punch to the head but Kiuyno blocked and punched him in the gut and as he fell Kiuyno kicked him in the face.

After that kick 3 thugs were down for the count and as the third one fell the other 2 got up and dashed at him, one with his sword drawn the other without his sword, Kiuyno being injured couldn't move as fast but managed to dodge the sword and stop the other thug from hitting him. Kiuyno tried to kick the first thug but the thug had already started to kick at him and Kiuyno had no time to dodge and took the hit but when his foot pressed against Kiuyno's chest he grabbed his foot and threw him over himself and ran for his katana but his eyesight started to get blurry and he couldn't see.
