"Geoff, I swear, it wasn't what it looked like." Awsten grabbed Geoff’s wrist, trying to stop him from walking away. The taller roughly pulled his arm from Awsten's tight grip.
"I know what I saw, Awsten. I don't have time for cheaters in my life." Venom practically dripped from Geoff's soft pink lips.
He opened his mouth to respond in some way, but Geoff beat him to it. "I don't want to hear it. Just- just leave, Awsten."
He sighed in defeat. "I-I’m sorry, G."
"You should be. Goodbye." Geoff turned away from him, going inside his apartment. He closed the door behind him. The tears Awsten managed to hold back slipped out. They all poured out, and before he knew it, he was uncontrollably sobbing against Geoff's door.
Maybe what happened actually was his fault.
Maybe that was the only explanation for this situation.
It was his fault. It was always his fault. He shouldn't even bother trying to fight it; it was always his fault.
And this time, Geoff wasn't there to deny it. Awsten was completely alone.
