Before they knew it, the twins were sitting on a leather couch in the living room right in front of the burning fireplace. Athena had given Aris his jacket back. Pacifica sat down in a chair across from them.
She looked a bit out of breath.
"Aris and Athena! You've both grown so much since the last time I saw you!" she said vivaciously, the words spilling out of her mouth.
"I tried to obtain legal custody over you, but the court wouldn't let me because Dipper's relations were closer" she said, her tone transitioning into one of fire. She genuinely looked like she would fight anyone who dared to oppose her.
"Wait, you know us?" said Athena with disbelief, not really expecting that at all.
"Of course! You're my cousin's kids" Pacifica replied.
"Who?" Athena questioned, her tone burning with curiosity.
"Let me guess, another N-name?" asked Aris.
"Nathaniel Northwest V" Pacifica confirmed.
Aris didn't look the least bit surprised.
"Called it."
"The fifth? No way!" said Athena. "There were a bunch of Nathaniels, but they only went down to the fourth."
"That could be because he got disowned" said Pacifica.
"He got disowned?!"
"Yeah, but that was a long time ago" she replied, as if it was water under the bridge. "Anyways, what are you kids doing here? How did you even find me?"
"We looked up your address online and teleported ourselves here!" said Aris elatedly, holding up the watch for their aunt to see.
"It's not as creepy as it sounds" Athena added. "We came here for answers about our parents."
Pacifica raised an eyebrow.
"What else is there to know about them? They were the talk of the town. I'm sure your Aunt Mabel has already filled you in on all the details."
"Actually, we just found out about them now" said Athena. "You see, we thought that Dipper was our biological dad for the past twelve years, until recent events..."
Pacifica's eyes widened in outrage.
"What?! You have a right to know about your parents, and Dipper's been lying to you for twelve years?!"
She stood up from her chair in her fury.
"I will sue him! I will sue his entire family!"
"Whoa whoa, take it down a notch there" said Aris, holding out his hands and gesturing for her to calm down. "If you did that, you'd be suing us too."
"We came here to find out more about our parents because Dad wouldn't tell us" Athena said "So the best you can do for us is tell us everything you know about them."
Aris grinned widely.
"You mean, 'Not-Dad'" he said, elbowing her lightly.
Athena groaned and rolled her eyes.
"That joke was never funny."
They both turned towards Pacifica, who took in a deep breath to calm herself down, before exhaling and sitting back down onto the couch.
"Very well" she said. "So, what do you want to know about them?"
That question had caught Athena off guard. She hadn't really thought about what she wanted to ask. She had so many questions that they were all flooding her mind at the same time. She couldn't really pick one.
But after careful consideration, she finally thought of something.
"Aunt Mabel's already told us a lot about our mom, so can you tell us more about our dad?"
Pacifica seemed to be pleased with the question. She reclined back into her chair, and folded her hands over her chest.
"Oh, my cousin, where to start...well, honestly I only lived with him for five years. His father sent him here from England when he just turned thirteen, and he ended up staying for longer than any of us expected. Not that I didn't mind."
"Wait, so what was his life like in England?" Athena asked.
Pacifica's smile suddenly vanished. There was a long pause before she finally spoke again.
"He...never really told me. He was never exactly an open book. All that I know is that he had a very strained relationship with his dad."
"Nathaniel Northwest IV?" Athena asked. "Where is he now?"
Pacifica's expression darkened.
"The Aviarium Prison of Great Britain."
Suddenly, there was the sound of an obnoxious, repetitive beeping noise, and Athena's eyes widened as she rolled up her sleeve to check the time on her watch.
11:00 pm.
"Uh, we've gotta go now" she said hurriedly, standing up as she pulled her brother to his feet. "Gotta be in bed before our uncle finds us missing."
Aris was already typing the coordinates home into his own watch.
"Yeah, he never even let us leave the house, let alone sneak out to a mysterious town."
That seemed to stir up Pacifica's wrath again.
"He did what?!" she cried in outrage. Her face was burning a scarlet red, and it looked as if she was about to go off into another rant.
Neither of the twins wanted to be around for that.
Aris linked his arms through his sister's, then slammed down on his watch. Their bodies started to glow a purple color.
"Bye! It was nice meeting you!" Aris said quickly, just as they disappeared.

The instant that they reappeared in their bedroom, the twins bolted for their beds, practically ripping the covers off the bed and yanking them back over their bodies, just in time for their bedroom door to open.
Dipper stood there, watching the kids for a moment.
They were safe. Everything was fine. Everything was back to normal.
Except now, they knew the truth.
With this in mind, he knew that nothing would ever go back to the way it had been before.
He looked at his niece and nephew one last time, before finally shutting the door.

The siblings both turned towards each other, wide awake.
"I guess now we know where our next destination is gonna be" Aris said. "You'd better pack an orange jumpsuit in the morning."
Athena frowned.
"In the UK, they wear yellow and green boiler suits, not orange ones, and even then that's only for the more dangerous criminals. Most of them are allowed to wear their own clothing."
Aris sighed.
"Where do you store all this useless information?"
"In my photographic memory" Athena said a bit impatiently. "Look, can we just re-focus on making the plan?"
"We were making a plan?"
Athena sighed, and rubbed her temples frustratedly before turning back towards her brother.
"We're not going disguised as prisoners" she said. "You're going to hack into the security system while I break in."
Aris raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, I like that plan, except you forgot one tiny little thing: we're breaking into one of the UK's top most secure prisons. It's gonna take more than a photographic memory to break in."
Athena smirked.
"Oh dear brother, you just need a little more imagination, and a little more faith in my skills."
