Forbidden mates

One

Jamie was walking to school(human school) when her secret best friend ran up from behind her and hugged her. Their relationship despite how it seems is purely platonic as they are both waiting for their tattoos to appear so they can find their mates. Their friendship is kept secret as they are wolves and they belong to separate packs.....it just so happens that these packs despise each other.
"Hey" said dan as he walked to her side instead of hugging her. "Hey, also stop doing that. Imma tear your face off one day you idiot" exclaimed a frustrated Jamie. "You've said that a thousand times" he exclaimed. "Yeah well one day I'll do it" She retorted. "Mhm, sure" dan stated as he rolled his eyes.
They walked in a comfortable silence till they reached school and Jamie was attacked in a hug from her current boy friend(yes she's waiting for her mate but she wanted to be with someone till then...don't get me wrong she likes him but well.....she's not sure he's 'the one'). "Ryan,get off" she frustratedly ordered and he instantly did so. "S-sorry babe..."he apologised and stood in between her and dan holding her hand. "It's k" she lied. She didn't want to be with him anymore and today was the day she's finally tell him that.
(time skip to lunch bc class is boring)
She sat at the lunch table waiting for Ryan so she could speak to him alone. When he arrived he was with his friend Amy and they were in a deep convo, that came to an abrupt halt when they reached her. "Hey...ryan can I talk to you...I'm private?" She asked slightly nervous. "Sure?" He replied and they went a few metres away. "Soo...I uhh...god I'm just gonna say it...I don't want to be with you anymore....I'm sorry but I just don't feel a connection anymore" she said and she could see his eyes well up and she felt so guilty. "I-it's okay...at least you didn't string me along....i...uhhh...ok,.." he said and his voice broke on the word ok. "Tell amy I said please don't kill me..." she jokes as she gave him one last kiss on the cheek and walked away.

Through out the rest of that day she was with Dan but kept catching Ryan glaring at him and staring at her. She walked half way home with Dan after school before they had to go their separate ways.
When she got home she was suddenly really tired and fell straight to sleep. When she woke up the next morning she was not expecting the burning pain she got in her arm.....
