Her long braided scarlet hair fluttered in the breeze as she hobbled down the ruby-infused path. Monika sighed, she had zero idea how she got to this peculiar land, and even less how she got so many cuts and bruises on her arms and face. Her thigh-high kitty socks and poofy black skirt clung to her as she noticed all the odd creatures around her; Monika noticed many strange things, most commonly dodo birds with tortoise shells and little white rabbits with blue spots and horns.
The teenager soon approached a large closed drawbridge guarded by two glass giants who chatted amongst themselves until spotting Monika. The duo's eyes went wide, lowering the drawbridge at once and bowing to her.
'Strange.' She thought to herself. Monika skipped across the rustic wooden bridge, peering across at the sweet yet simple town before her. As people noticed the young girl, they had one of two reactions, their jaw would drop or they would kneel and pray.
Within a few minutes, two guards found Monika and dragged her through the town as she squirmed in their grasp.
"Lemme go, you brutes!" Monika hollered at them, trying her best to seem confident.
"Shut yer' trap, Monika, t'was the Queen's orders to take you to 'er!" One guard blurted. The other nodded. "That's right, now stop being a wimp and calm the hell down!" The lady guard growled. The silver castle gates opened as the guards neared the entrance to the ginormous castle. It was made of stone, with golden yellow and scarlet accents.
