[A/N Hey guys it's Hanna. So this is gonna be my solo run on here. I don't know if Emma will end up doing one or not, but most likely.

Any ways, enjoy!]

2002

I try to block out the sound of my parent's yelling at my older brother. I try to ignore when they bring me into the conversation for no reason. I try to forget that they will soon yell at me for nothing.

I was just a little girl. I didn't understand why this was happening. I always heard about kids parent's that fought all the time ended up hurting their kids. Some times it would get worse and worse to where someone would get really hurt. But I didn't believe my parent's could be that way.

Oh, that right, you don't know who I am. Well, my name is Natasha Leah James. I'm six years old, I have blond hair and brown eyes. I really like music, I feel safe with it. I'm really shy with new people, but once I get to know how I'm kinda crazy. You know crazy for a six year old.

"Mommy what's that sound?" I hear a small voice ask. I look out my window finding a family standing outside the house next door. Mom said someone was moving in next door to us. Maybe I'll make a new friend. Which would be my first.

I sit on my bed -which was right next to my window- and watch the other house. I try to make it look like I was looking around randomly when the light in the room across from mine turns on. These houses were really close together, not far away, but enough.

I look into the room, it was painted blue and looked really boyish. They must have a son. I really hope he's my age. A little boy runs into the room a huge smile on his face. I runs right to his window pulling it open.

I gasp, jumping, I look around my room falling back on my bed. I hear something hit my window, loudly if I might add. I look up finding a football being thrown at my window. I open my window glaring at the kid in the other window holding the ball.

He waves at me, and I sigh, laughing, before waving back at him. "Hi." He says with a cute smile.

"Hi, I'm Natasha." I tell him.

"I'm Luke Hemmings." He says.

"Well it's nice to meet you Luke, how old are you?" I ask him.

"I'm 6! You?" He grins.

"Same! When is your birthday?" I laugh. Yay he's the same age as me! I think I've got a friend now!

"July 16th!"

"You birthday is right after mine! Mine's the 10th!" I giggle.

"Cool!" Luke smiles. "Natasha do you want to be my friend?" Luke asks. I grin widely nodding my head.

"I would love to be your friend Luke!" I tell him as I hear my mom call me for dinner. "I'll talk to you later Luke! Dinner!" I smile at him, closing my window and running down stairs for dinner.

"Our neighbors just moved in." I tell my family as I set down at the table.

"How do you know that?" My mom asks with a smile.

"I heard them when they got there. They have a son named Luke he's the same age as me, but I'm a little but older. His room is across from mine. He's really nice. Can we invite them over tomorrow for lunch mommy?" I tell them all. My dad gives a worried look, my mom just smiles her thinking face on, while my brother gives my parent's a begging look for it to be alright. My brother is only a couple of years older then me.

"I don't see the problem in it." My mom says. I look over at my dad with pleading eyes.

"Alright, you and your brother can go ask after dinner." Dad says.

"Thank you daddy!" I grin before digging into my food. I couldn't wait! I ate my food almost as fast as I could. I cleaned off my plate putting it into the dish washer, before looking at my mom for the okay to go upstairs. She gives me a nod and I run up stairs throwing my window open.

I look over at Luke's window still open a crack. "Luke!!" I say. Something moves and he's pushing open his window smiling at me.

"You eat fast!" He laughs.

"My mom says that I can invite your family over for lunch tomorrow, so me and my brother will be over in a couple of minutes. Make sure to open the door! But act like you don't know me!" I giggle telling him that.

"Okay! I'll go down now and just wait!" He says before waving, closing his window, and running out of his room. I close my window pulling on my shoes and coat before walking back down stairs. My brother was waiting with a smile on his face.

"We're going mom!" He yells to our parent's before we walk out the door and the very short walk next door. I knock on the door waiting for Luke to open it.

"Coming!" Someone calls from the other side. Two set of feet move, and the door opens to show Luke and I would imagine his mom.

"Hi! We're from next door! I'm Natasha, this is my older brother Freddy. Our mom wanted us to ask if your family wanted to come over for lunch tomorrow." I said with a smile on my face. I was a little happy. I couldn't wait to get to know Luke more.

"Oh, well nice to meet the two of you. My name is Liz, this is my son Luke. We would love to come over tomorrow for lunch. Could you give me your mom's number so I can okay everything with her?" Liz smiles at us.

"Oh yes. Do you have a pen and paper?" Freddy asks.

"Yes just hold on. Please come in for a second." Liz opens the door and we walk in. Freddy follows her to write down mom's number while I wait with Luke.

We kinda just stand there for a minute before Luke hugs me. I'm shocked at first, but hug him back. "It's nice to have a friend already. I thought it would take a long time to make any." Luke says.

"Well your my first friend, so yeah... There aren't many kids on this street that aren't my brother's age or older." I tell him.

"I know this is crazy. But friend's forever?" He grins holding out his pinkie. I nod my head holding mine out to him.

****

Not once in my little mind did I completely think that promise would last forever. I never thought that Luke Hemmings would be my best friend.
