"Aww!" Sadie exclaimed, her eyes softening as Finn and I entered the cafeteria. I glanced up to Finn, blushing before I gently dropped his hand to go get my food.
"I have to admit, they are pretty cute," Gaten told Sadie, to which she threw him an 'I told you so' look.
I approached the food counter, and picked up a peanut butter and jam sandwich as well as an apple. I slid my tray off the end of the rack, and walked over to the table where the rest of the kids were sitting.
"So, anything new?" I asked, and everyone chuckled.
"We sound like those girls in those high school movies with the dramatic lunchtime stories," Noah realized, causing me to throw my head back in laughter.
"Oh my-oh my God you're right," Gaten choked out, his words broken up by uncontrollable giggles.
"Anyways," Caleb said, redirecting our attention.
"Well, nothing new here," Sadie announced.
"Or here," Gaten added.
"Neither do I," Caleb said.
"Not me," Noah piped up. There was a pause, where the four of their heads turned on Finn and I.
"What?" Finn asked, looking at the quartet in confusion.
"Didn't you guys film a make out scene a few days ago?" Sadie questioned. Finn's face went completely red, and I could feel mine doing the same.
"Yeah..." Finn murmured.
"Mhm..." I mumbled.
"And how was it?" Caleb asked, sporting a wild grin.
"Okay I guess," I replied uncomfortably.
"Kinda weird, but at the same time, not," Finn tried to say.
"Explain," Sadie pressed, brushing her salad aside and propping her chin up on her elbow.
"On one hand, you're sticking your tongue in some else's mouth," Finn started, "And on the other, it was kind of easy since we've done it befo-"
Finn slapped a hand to his mouth. The kid's eyes widened, their jaws practically plummeting to the floor. I brought my hands to my face.
"Shit shit shit shit shit," I mumbled into my hands.
"Fuck," Finn released helplessly, leaning back in his chair.
"You-you guys have made out, before?" Gaten stammered.
"Once, and it was only for practice," Finn explained.
"Practice!?" Caleb questioned, "You guys couldn't just wait until the take?"
"We didn't want to have to do the scene more than once," I defended us.
"Yeah, right," Sadie mumbled.
"What was that?" Finn asked the red head.
"I mean, either way you guys would be making out more than once," she said, then snorted with a small giggle.
"OHHHHH!" Gaten stood up from his chair and jokingly yelled, making me laugh a bit.
"Exposed!" Noah exclaimed, and I clutched my aching stomach while I silently laughed.
"Ugh, guys!" I groaned in defeat.
"Okay okay, we'll stop," Noah said.
"Right after we tell the Duffers!" Sadie exclaimed, then bolted out of the cafeteria.
"HEY!" I called after her, standing up from my chair and following her out the door, the other kids behind me.
"Get back here!" I yelled, running after Sadie. She turned her head around, smirking wildly before breaking into a flat out sprint. I knew she was fast, but I always forgot just how fast.
She's always been good at track, but can't compete because we don't go to actual school, just with each other. So, her parents made a deal with a high school nearby, and she gets signed up every year for sprints and such.
"M-Millie," Finn panted behind me, "I-I can't run any further." I turned around, seeing my boyfriend half bent over in exhaustion.
"Oh come on, Finn," I tried to encourage him.
"Just go on without me," he said dramatically, to which I rolled my eyes.
"You know I wouldn't leave you. Now just come," I said, grabbing his shoulder to pull him back to standing. We jogged beside each other until we reached the set that the teens were filming on today.
"Perfect timing!" Sadie announced to the Duffer brothers, glancing over at us as we entered the set, panting and out of breath.
"I would just like to take the pleasure in telling you that Finn and Millie made out outside of set to practice for the scene!" Sadie exclaimed, and it looked as though Matt and Ross's hearts stopped.
"You practiced!?" Ross yelled over to us, and I glanced at Finn.
"Yep," I replied quietly.
"Man you guys would be such a cute couple," Shawn blurted, approaching Sadie and the Duffers as Noah, Caleb, and Gaten joined Finn and I by the entrance. Charlie, Joe and Natalie appeared from a corner as well.
"What's going on?" Natalie asked.
"What do you mean they would be such a cute couple?" Sadie asked.
"Sadie," I called out, nervous as hell.
"They're dating-" Sadie continued.
"SADIE!" I hollered across the set.
"YOU GUYS ARE DATING!?" Ross screamed, and Finn nodded bashfully.
"SINCE WHEN!?" Matt questioned, gesturing his arms wildly.
"Since a couple weeks?" I replied nervously.
"HOLD THE FUCKING PHONE!" a man's voice boomed into the space.
"FILLIE IS REAL!?" came the same voice, from none other than David Harbour. There was a pause, where I took a moment to observe everyone's anticipation for the question I knew Finn and I were about to answer.
I looked to the teens, who's lips were all parted in shock. Then to the Duffers and Shawn, who looked like they were going to pee themselves. And then to the kids, who were smiling uncontrollably, letting out the random giggle or strained noise.
I glanced down to Finn's hand, then took it surely in my own.
"Fillie is real."
