"Fifty-eight, fifty-nine, Sixty! Here I come Olie, Drake!"
The game hide-and-go-seek was played with our small group. Olie and Drake are the twins; the twins of Blacksburg, Virginia. They were the sweet boys who now live with you. They both used to be in an orphanage, but no one would ever take them in. The twins looked like one another, almost like they were carrying a mirror with them. They spoke, looked, sounded, and dressed the same never breaking this bond between them. No matter their looks you let them stay with you because they weren't afraid.... Afraid of you.
A week passed of non-stop rain, and with that being said there will be mud, mud all over the ground meaning there will be barely any tracks to follow. So, in your conclusion, it will be a little harder to find them, yet you had already known that they wouldn't change their spot in the woods. our fort is one place we will always keep to ourselves. But of course, they can try and stay hidden there for as long as they can keep hidden in the shadows under debris. they still make it very difficult to find them even if they go to the same spot making it more interesting to see what they come up with each time.
You heard them in the distance running towards the fort in the forest. But you can catch/hear another pair of footsteps heading their way, you brush it off as another animal that is always near your home for some reason.
"I'm coming for you Olie, Drake!!!" Your warm smile graces the frigid air, while a melodious voice chimes in.
After that you set off into a sprint through the trees that block out sunlight, shrubs that rip your clothes into shreds. Until you stop dead in your tracks halfway over a fallen tree, screams the screams make you stop dead. Those screams... they belong to Olie and Drake, they were way deeper in the woods father then our fort. You shake your head quickly and put on your mask, you realized before with the footsteps that it wasn't an animal at all. Someone was close to your home on your property. Someone unwanted, an animalistic growl erupts from your throat as you rush towards the screams of your friends. Your adrenaline burst through your veins your heart beat slamming into your ears.
Then it went black....
Light comes through your eyes, all your surroundings looked smaller as you stood tall and dart through the trees, breaking most of them down. Your clawed hands puncture the ground ripping dirt and grass up, propelling yourself forward into an opening where you slowed to a stop. When you stopped you stared at an old rickety mansion and you stared into a window that showed a little girl in a tattered pink nightgown. You shake your head while questioning yourself of the new place but ridding the thought you ran.
A smoky gas filled the air in the forest covering everything, obscuring anyone's eyes from seeing the unseen. Knowing the unknown. But light seemed to still filter through the gas, even though it didn't help with seeing through it. And with a tongue of old words creek and cut through the air turning the warmth to a frigged coldness.
"filii! Aliquam exeuntes ite!" (Children! Come out now it's time to go!)
Then like a ray of light shimmering on water a glint of light seeps through the gas into your eyes. Setting all six limps on the ground crouching closer to the forest floor. While doing so you see olie and drake in front of a man who was in front of you. But what caught your eye was the glinting in his hand... it was a blade... a knife. You felt a small string snap that small string was the last of your sanity. It was over, done, gone, finished....
