She had made it. After years of promising herself she would do it, she had finally succeed. She had planned for this moment. She had planned every word. Of course, all that planning had gone to waste. In every plan she made she had to think, she had to remember.

She couldn't think, she was filled with too much fear. She hadn't planned on being afraid - she was never afraid.

She prided herself in being (relatively) smart when it came to planning things, but she in order to be able to execute a plan you had to be able to improvise whenever something went wrong. That's where this particular plan messed up for her. Improvising. How was she supposed to improvise if she was quite literally unable to think.

"Mr. Barros, Dr. Thomas Coleman is ready to see you." A nurse opened a door on the other side of the room called. She smiled reassuringly at "Mr. Barros" and walked out of the room with him. All the anxiousness she had been feeling for what felt like the last forever faded away along with Mr. Barros nervous figure.

"Miss Terry, Dr. Owen Horne is ready to see you." Lynne stood up and followed a new nurse to Dr. Horne's room. There in the middle of the room was a large comfortable looking chair with a helmet like object attached to it. Lynne knew this wasn't any normal helmet though, it was a scanner that could show the activity in her brain, or more specifically, her emotions.

Owen who was sitting in a chair that had wheels at the bottom. He was middle aged who had graying hair and smile lines on his cheeks. He was rolling around, checking computers and monitors that were scattered around the walls of the room. A few nurses were around him, cleaning the last few pieces of equipment and making sure everything is place. Everyone looked up and smiled when Lynne and the nurse walked in.

"Come, sit down, Lynne ." He pointed to the chair in the center of the room. Lynne walked over and sat in the chair, crossing her legs. The doctor rolled over in his chair stuck his hand out.

"Hi, how are you? I haven't seen you in a while." He smiled and Lynne took his hand, shook it firmly and smiled back.

"I'm good, how're you? And it has been a while." It had been nearly 5 months since they had last seen each other, despite this the two were good friends. Lynne had specifically asked if Owen could examine her. She trusted no one else.

"So, is there any reason you came here? Or was it just a spur of the moment I-want-to-see-my-brain-activity?" Lynne blinked, she didn't know that was a thing.

"Uhh no, just curiosity." Lynne said. Owen didn't reply as he picked up a strange looking small thin helmet that multiple wires in different colors connected to the back. It would cover her entire head but keep her eyes mouth and nose open.

"Ok, I'm going to need to lean back and get comfortable." He said, Lynne did as she was told. "I'm going to put this on and at first it's going to feel uncomfortable but that's normal so there's nothing to worry about." He reached over and pulled her head up slightly and carefully slid the helmet like device over her head. She understood immediately what he meant by "uncomfortable", the helmet pressed against her skull and she was sure that if the helmet stayed on long enough she would get a headache. At this point all the nurses had exited the room, leaving Owen and Lynne by themselves.

"I'm going to show you a few videos that'll probably make you emotional, so proper yourself." Owen smiled and started playing a video on a computer that was right in front of Lynne.

They were videos of animals that had been run out of their homes because of humans tearing down there homes for construction. Lynne felt a small pang of sadness, humans were such a greedy species.

"Oh wow!" Owen exclaimed after a moment, Lynne turned to look at him and saw a computer that had an updating imagine of her brain activity.

"What?" She said, though she had a good idea about what had surprised him so much. He turned to look at her with eyes wide with disbelief.
