Cas was flying up to heaven for possible the last time. as soon as he stepped through the gates a soldier shook his his head shoving Castiel backwards. his arms struggled to regain his balance as he tumbled backwards.

As he tumbled towards earth his wings where ripped to shreds. the fall was stripping him of his grace and his wings. his focus turned to Dean Winchester. he focused on him, praying to land nearby. he watched the green of a random field filling his vision and he passed out, seconds from using the last of his grace to save him from the fall.

He woke up a hour later, covered in blood from his wings and a broken nose. he fumbled in his pocket, struggling to find the phone Dean had given him. he pulled it out of one of his pockets as silent tears ran down his face. the pain from his wings was excruciating.

He clicked Dean's number and held it to his ear, struggling to keep a sob from escaping his lips. he had just lost his wings, he wasn't an angel.

The phone rang a few more times before Dean picked up.

"Cas!"

His voice was filled with an emotion Castiel couldn't recognize but he ignored it pleading for Dean to help him.

"Dean, I... I need you to come pick me up, I... l need your help."

Cas looked around. he saw the sun setting slowly in the west and a road to his right.

"I think I'm near you but... I'm not sure where I am. the sun is setting. I'm in a big green field. I can see a little town but it's pretty far away."

Cas tried not to let his voice falter as he spoke to Dean but every once in a while his sniffling would interrupt his words. Dean sounded panicked when he started talking.

"Don't worry Cas, I know exactly where you are I'm getting in th  car now."

Cas nodded, then remembering that Dean couldn't see him said, "Okay," and hung up.

Cas laid out on his stomach and struggled to keep what remained of his tattered wings off the ground.

As soon as he heard the faint growl of an engine he struggled to his feet. he stood in the middle of the field, feeling an odd sense of cold engulfing his body. he struggled to stay standing as his vision blurred and he collapsed to the ground right as he saw Dean's Impala come into view.

The engine grew louder and a shadow fell over him right as he passed out.

Minutes later he was shaken awake gently, the first thing coming into view was Dean's brilliant green eyes. he was swaying back in forth, he fully noticed that he was being carried towards (from what he could see) the Impala. he recognizes Sam hopping into the drivers seat and Dean resting Castiel's head on his lap.

Castiel faded in and out of consciousness as they made their way to the motel the boys where staying at. there was  one thought screaming at him above the rest.

'I love you, Dean Winchester.'

(I might continue this later, I'm not sure.)
