King of the night

Chapter one

Lyonn stood up from the chair looking outside lost but fascinated.
Yes, anyone would be fascinated in her kind of life. She was a young waitress with a few ambitions until a month ago.
Yeah, a month ago, her life changed completely. She learned she was a warlock, hell, warlock! One of the dangerous night children, humans were so afraid of! No one can blame her for feeling lost now!!!!
Who could? Her mother and sister his this life from her.

"Lyonn, are you there?" Lysha, her sister called.
Lyonn turned back and snapped her finger, the lights turned on!
"Don't fool me Lysha, with your magic, you should know I'm here"
Lysha entered smiling broadly.
"What's with the smile anyway?" Lyonn asked looking stupidly curious.
"There is a way to repair our family's honor and fame"
"I'm listening"
"One of us have to make a political alliance with the other night children"
"You mean with the vampires,werewolves, wizards and witches? I definitely pass!!" Lyonn grumbled.
"It had to be you! Lyonn!"
Lyonn frowned a little
"Why me?"
"Cos you always have a way of inspiring people! I don't! If we have have a best shot of repairing our family's name ......it's you Lyonn"
Lyonn sat down lazily, her caramel coloured gown sweeping the floor

"What did you guys do!"
"We killed a vampire out of self defense, now the night king wants us to pay! The other warlocks are blaming us!! They are trying to kick us down or something!" Lysha said harshly,her voice breaking with emotions

"Lyonn, we are royals, we are member of the royal lineage, we can't be brought down! This crown on your head signifies that!" Lysha said lightening up.
"I'll think about it. Where is mother?"
"She is having a meeting with other royals and generals on the king's threat!"
"So the king threatened all of us, I mean all warlocks?"
"Yeah, the king has no heart, he is evil and demonic!"
Lyonn sighed,she had heard this lecture before.

"All what they say about him... Is he that bad?" Lyonn asked quietly
"He is horrible! We are not even suppose to mention his name at all!"
Lysha said sharply.
"I hear we don't even know his name?"
"Not true, the high royals do. Mother do too. His name is a secret and a dread among all night children, now do you understand why his threat is considered serious?"

Lyonn stared on,she wondered how he truly looks like, some say he had heavenly beauty and built. How can such a man still have demonic reputation?. It's like his face is completely different from his mind.
"I'll leave you to think about it" Lysha concluded and left the room with her blue cape flowing on the ground. Every royal put on blue cape signifying blue blooded and pure.

Lyonn stared at he windows again at the beautiful city of innocent humans who don't know what are living amongst them
Or who....
Especially the king......
King of the night..........
The most dreaded of all the night children.
She sighed and lay on her bed thinking about restoring her family's name and honor.

"Rise and shine, princess!!"A familiar voice shouted!
Lyonn groaned and sat up staring at her mother and Lysha.
" Mother! Lysha!" She said feeling sleeping
"Today is the d-day, yes, for you to meet the other night children!" Lysha said excitedly.
"I haven't decided yet!" Lyonn grumbled
"Yes you have,princess Lyonn, now up! Tonight, you shall meet them!"
Mother said authoritatively

Lyonn sat at the royal chamber with Lysha and the queen's son, prince Feron. They read out what she had to say to the other representatives of the night children......
"Princess Lysha, your presence is desired in the royal court of her majesty" A servant said.
Lysha winked at Lyonn and Feron, while following the servant.
Lyonn shifted uncomfortably, she wasn't okay with Feron sitting so close to her at all.
Feron had always be lustful towards her even publicly. Though she was engaged to him since childhood, she had never liked him the way he did.
