SOULS

Chapter 1

Nick never felt special. He has always been called "the weird one" though he never really knew why. Maybe it was because he was not really socially interactive or very athletic.
Today was gonna be his first day in 10th grade and he hasn't been looking forward to it at all. Although he hadn't really had anything to do in his holidays he would have preferred to stay at home and read books or draw some of his fictional characters over going back to school for another year of learning and being bullied.
He lived in a little town in Germany and always went to school by bike, alone of course, cause he didn't really have any friends.
It was 6:30 when his small blue alarm clock rang. Nick didn't even bother turning it off since he knew he would doze off again if he did so. He had finished his latest drawing of his character Elisa yesterday and it was past midnight when he fell asleep. After a couple of seconds of being woken up by the  annoying sound of the alarm, Nick finally sat up in his bed and rubbed his eyes. The bright beams of the sun shined through the courtain of his small room's window and filled the room with a warm light. After turning off the alarm and putting on a grey shirt and a pair of blue jeans he went into the bathroom to wash himself and to get ready for the day.
He took a look into the mirror while brushing his long blond hair. His eyes were as green as fresh grass in spring and he had a small nose. He was taller than most of the people and he was pretty slim which was why his classmates sometimes called him names like "Broomstick" or "Stick Nick". He was used to these commentaries and learned to ignore them.
After brushing his teeth Nick went downstairs to the kitchen and made himself a sandwich while listening to music from the radio. His parents had already gone to work like every morning when he woke up. Nick didn't have a problem with that at all he enjoyed being alone. When he looked at his blue watch he noticed that it was already 7:30 so he finished his meal, got his backpack, grabbed his keys and ran to school after closing the door.
