Chapter 1

Life's unfair for me!Living in a family that abuses me,being hated by everyone in my village.And also being treated like a slave by all.

My name is Su Ling.I have no talent at all and that's why everyone hates me.They expect us woman to have talent and be good at everthing.Well i'm not.I'm turning 14 this year.At my age,I'm supposed to get married.China is the worst place to live in.Ladies here are not allowed to choose their own marriage. We're being forced by our parents or the government to do so.

Without marriage,ladies are not allowed to work.Some people may wonder,ladies not working seems to be great because a lot are lazy to work.Well let me tell you,no work means no money and no money means no life.The government will just throw us out and allow us to live near the roads.We need money to pay for rents living in China.Without payment than we can't live here anymore.
Well,I'm not married but yet they haven't come find me.

Enough talking about marriage,I want to talk about family now.I live in a family of 5;my mum,dad,my 2 sisters and me.I'm the youngest in this family.Some people may also think that I have the advantages but I don't.My sisters do.My dad and them abuse me everyday.Only my mum cares for me.She tries to stop the torture and pain but ended up getting hurt herself.I felt bad for my mum so I decided to take the sacrifice.I don't want my mum to get hurt becaue of me.I just want her to live her life as long as she still cares for me.My sisters have always been jealous of me.I don't get why?I'm not talented or smart like both of them.Mum said it is because I'm beautiful.It is true,I'm the prettiest one in the village but too bad nobody appreciates me.I have long black silky hair,red cherry lips that are more pure than snow white's and pink blushy cheeks.

I thought my looks would impress everyone but they told me looks don't matter.They only care about educations.

Well that's their way.Right now,I'm focusing on my 14th birthday party that will be held tomorrow. My mum felt bad for me so she managed to convince my dad to let me throw a birthday party.Usually,dad never cares about my birthday.But this year,I still can't believe mum convinced him!!!

I really hope it will turn out good. We'll see what the future holds.
