"Kriinggggggggggg!" The alarm clock was super loud and annoying. Jonathan woke up and turned it off.

"Oh, today's a new day to discover! I wonder, what will I do at school today?". He was hoping for a new and fun day at school.

Nothing. Nothing fun happened, just an ordinary day, learning and getting scolded by the teachers. So boring.

"Huh, I wish I had a perfect life!", he said with an unhappy face. He went back home with the same mood like any other day.

"How's school, honey? Anything different happened today?" , Mrs. Seavey asked. "Hmmm, likewise", he said with a sad tone. He went to his room, looking at the ceiling and said,

"Oh I wish I had a perfect and adventurous life. I wish I had friends, awesome friends", he nagged and nagged and nagged until he fell asleep.


That day was a school day, Jonathan was already giving up hope that day would be some extraordinary day . He went to school, like usual . It was half past 7. He was opening his locker and taking his books, like any other day, until he accidentally knocked a girl. She looked new, he had never seen her before. The girl looked at him, and he looked into her eyes.

"Are you okay? I'm really sorry!", Jonathan apologised.

"Oh, it's nothing. Hi, I'm Lucy. What's yours?"

"Jonathan. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too."

"Um, I've never seen you here before, are you new here?"

"Oh, yes. I just moved here from California. My family had family business so that took us here" "Oh, that's gre-
"Kriiinggggggggg!!!" the bell which marked the beginning of the class session.

"I think I have to go. Catch you later?", Jonathan asked.

"Sure. Meet you after school! I'll wait for you"

He thought the girl was very interesting to be friends with. She looked "adventurous". Yup, he guessed it by her outfit; red-coloured square pattern shirts, jeans and a ponytail, how Western. He was really excited. Who knows what they're going to explore, right?


He waited for the girl, as promised. Ha, there she was !

"Hi, we meet again", Jonathan said, happily.

"You want to discover something different today?", she asked. Jonathan nodded,

"Then let's move it!", said Lucy excitedly. They headed to a forest near his house, not very far and not very "Junglish".

"You wanna race?", asked Lucy.

"Catch me if you can!" They laughed while running until they caught one another.

"Wow", said Jonathan, amazed by the beauty of nature.

"I've never been into a real forest before. It looks, mesmerising. Do you often come here?", she laughed and replied,

"the forest is like my second home, because it's the place where I have fun and all my dreams come true. I don't have that at home".


They continued to discover the forest. After a while, they found a rope where it connects to the other side.

"What is that? Is it dangerous?", Jonathan asked, frightened. Lucy laughed at his funny behaviour,

"Relax, it's fun!", she swung and landed at the other side safely.

"What are you waiting for, come on! Don't be a scaredy-cat, I know you can!". With bravery, Jonathan swung with his eyes shut and he screamed as loud as he could. Lucy was still laughing at him.

"It's not that, scary", Jonathan said, calmly after he landed.

"What's next?", he asked curiously.
