Emmett Collins POV:

Her curly blonde locks bounce behind her when she twirls in a circle. She dances with a dandelion in her hair and her blue sundress drifting behind her.

Her parents watch her from a distance, smiling, and laughing at the adorable 6-year-old.

I wanted her.

But she didn't know me ....yet.

She runs to a tall tree, clenching onto her other dandelion, she grabs the closest tree branch she sees and starts climbing, not caring that she wasn't wearing any shoes or that her dress was flying behind her, revealing the shorts that she was wearing underneath them.

One by one, she grabs a hold of a branch, until she is near the top, attempts to grab the next tree branch, her fingers slip, the crushed dandelion falls, and then she scrapes her fragile knee onto the trunk of the tree, slides down, and falls...landing on her bottom.

She doesn't cry like any other girl would.

Instead, she jumps back to her feet, brushes off the dirt from her dress. She walks to her mom and asks for the first aid kit.

She was the one I wanted.

I know, I know. I was six.

But whatever she did.

She made me fall, pretty damn hard.
