To ...

Some part of me was drawn to you the moment I first met you.

Unknowingly I had not expected it to have blossomed into an unrequited love on my part. I convinced myself that you were a total playboy, the type that I hate with all my heart. Oh, how wrong I was.

After a few years of moving here, through the community parties, I realized it was just your upbringing. You aspired to be more like your dad especially since you had no mother. I can only assume that your father raised you up to be gentle and nice with girls. Such attributes are unrealistic in reality. I know, I sound like all I experienced were tough guys. They are nice but, you're just double that. Despite being blinded by my judgment, I couldn't help eyes flit towards you. The way you run your hand through your hair. Hair that I envy. How could you have nice and silky hair while I have a head of cotton candy?  Never really shown anyone how my hair truly looks, but now you know.

I love the way you smile, it's super cute. I love it so much writing about it makes me smile. I love you so much that I don't approach nor have a full conversation with you. I hate myself so much. I can't believe that I liked you and didn't notice this feeling 'til after you got a girlfriend. Not your first one, but the current one. I didn't care for the first one as we go to different schools and I wouldn't have seen you together with her. However, since we go to the same church with your current girlfriend. I felt this ache. I don't know how to describe it, but it's like I'm lost. Like I don't know what to do. That is when I knew I truly did like you. I write this letter to you for a reason.

I need to erase these feelings.

The fact that I have come to terms with my heart... I know that I can't continue to like you, especially since you have a girlfriend which is also a friend of mine. I need to swallow these feelings. I have tried hard to forget but it's impossible since we see each other every Sunday and at community parties. So I write this to you not as a confession, but as a way to change myself and start anew. I'm not going to forget these feeling but use this as a lesson to myself. An experience that will hopefully change my bashful self. Let this be a start of a new friendship.

See you tomorrow at church.

Yours truly,

...
