Her bright light flashes through the water as she holds her newborn sprite. The color red blurs her vision, as the blood form her spear in her tail blooms out. Using her final breaths, she frantically swims to shore. She places her sprite on the warm sand and smiles at her. "You will have a better life here as a human, my child." She coughs, her mintcolored tail slowly being engulfed by the red of her blood. Before a human spots her, she removes her necklace. A beautiful rose gold seashell on a chain, and places it around the neck of her child. "Live beautiful without me." She says as he departs from the shore. Crawling into small under water cave, where she takes her last breath.
A woman walking on the shore sees a baby, looking out upon the sea as if she was waiting for some one.
She picks her up and inspects the beautiful necklace that layer atop her. She flips it and reads the name printed on the back. "Lorelei."
