I wake up once again with bruises on your arm from your abusive boyfriend. I look down at my bruises then pull down my long sleeve and get up and take a shower and try to wash away tears from the night before.
*SKIP TO AFTER THE SHOWER*
I look in the mirror and look at all my bruises and then take a deep breath and then goes and get dressed. I change into a black long-sleeved shirt with black skinnies with some holes in the knees and some black vans. I then dry my hair, brush it and then straighten it and put on some light makeup and grab my school stuff and head to school.
*SKIP TO SCHOOL*
Once I arrive I go straight to my locker where my best friend Daniel always waits for me.
"Hey Hey," I say as I'm side hugging him.
"Hey there," He says as he hugs back and looks at my outfit
"I like the outfit by the way." He says and smiles at me
"Thanks," I say as I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. But then feel the same hovering feeling of Jonah so I turn around and look down.
"H-hey Jonah," I say and then look at him.
"Hi. Where were you this morning?" He says in his angry voice I only know.
"O-oh I forgot about the bus stop today I'm so sorry... " I say and then look down instantly.
"Hmmm meet me after school behind the school and you're going to be sorry." He says as he whispers into my ear.
"Okay I'm sorry," I say as I continue to look down.
He just looks past me and nods then walks to his friend group.
"What was that about?" Daniel says so innocently. He is so pure and perfect he would never hurt anyone. Why can't Jonah be like him?
"I-i don't know but im going to late see you around. " I grab my books and walk to class with headphone in and try and not think about what just happened.
*SKIP TO AFTER SCHOOL*
I walk to the back of the school waiting for Jonah like he told me to.
"Oh good, you didn't 'forget'. Now you know the drill by now slap or punch?" He looks into my eyes. Man, I don't even know who this is anymore.
"S-slap please," I say back then brace myself.
Jonah nods then slaps me as hard as he can. Then looks at me and then goes to his car and drives off. I wait until I see his car leave the parking lot to shed some tears and start walking to my car with my headphones on blaring music to cancel out the world. But when I was halfway to my car I got stopped by someone that grabbed my shoulders, so I look up and pull out my headphones.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" I say without thinking and notice its Daniel. "Oh, im sorry I thought you were someone else," I say and look down.
"It's okay but are you okay, Emma look at me." He says as he tries to find my eyes.
I look at him and start crying more and then pull him into a hug and starts to cry more.
He hugs back and thinks. "It's going to be okay. I promise. Here let's go to our place." He says and pulls away a bit so he can look at my fast and he wipes away some tears and takes my car keys. "Come on, " He grabs my hand and opens my car door for me. Of course, I get in and buckle my self up and start to think.
*SKIP TO THEIR SECRET PLACE*
" I'm going to break up with Jonah," I say and just look ahead at the trees.
"What why?" he says and looks at me.
"He abuses me, the reason why I was crying was because he hit me again. Daniel, I don't want that anymore." He just looks at me and starts to tear up and hugs me.
"Why didn't you tell me before?"
" I didnt want you to cry or worry about it."
