I was very curious, I wanted to hear the question but he stayed silence for about a minute,before he start speaking
"My dear, do you have a man in your life at the moment "I was just looking at Abba as if he has grown two heads, he look at me before saying
"I mean do you have a boyfriend, I need to know"my eyes Pop's open trying to come out of it socket, saying i was shock was an understatement, I was beyond shock, if that is possible.

I look at my mom for help but she looked elsewhere so, I look at my last hope ya Salim he also seems shock, so from the look of things know one will help me.
"Come on tell me don't be shy "dad said smiling
I look at my fingers before saying "I don't have a boyfriend"I said shyly
"Don't tell me there aren't men lining up to meet my beautiful daughter "he said laughing, l just smile shyly and close my face using my Vail(gele)

"Ok Humaira, you most be wondering why I as you that question all of a sudden right?he said with all seriousness, I just nod my head in response.

The thing is that, there is this good friend of mine which you all know, Alhaji Suleiman lawal, he sent a proposal on behalf of his son Khalifa"he said

My heart was beating faster than I ever thought It would,but before I could say anything he continue

"I won't force you to marry him dear, but at least think about it, it meant not be easy at first,but I a sure you it won't be bad, besides if you get married to Khalifa the relationship between our family and their family will be stronger "dad said
I was so confused, what should I say or do right now? But I know I have to say something "but dad don't you think it to early for me to get married, am just 19,and What about my studies dad, am just on my second year in college, I try to reason,

"All that's not a problem dear, about you being 19,it not a reason at all you know, some even get married earlier than you think, and you will be 20 in a couple of month, And your education is not a problem, they won't stop you from studying my dear, they are very decent people, and every father will be proud to see his daughter settle with That type of family, you will get to meet the boy soon then you meant decide ok "dad said.

I just sat there in silence, From what dad had said so far, I know he had made his decision, he just want me to approve of it.
"Just you go think about it, I will never force you into marriage dear, I just want the best for you, and I will always be very proud of you know matter what decision you make." he said sincerely

"Ok dad I will think about it, I need some time "I said trying to end discussion.
"Ok my dear but please don't take to long we need to tell them your decision Ok? "He said, I just nod my head in response
"Ok your all may live now "he said, I stand up left the room in a hurry
