Harry Potter - First year in Hogwarts

It was early in the morning everyone was asleep, everyone except of Phoebe. Phoebe was a twelve year old girl with black long curled hair, dark like the night and green emerald eyes. She was small for her age and very thin although the family was looking after her very well. It wasn't her real family, her mother have to give her away after birth, she didn't want it, but it had to be and two years after that she died. Now she has a new family, a lovely mum not tall at all, red hair , blue eyes and a snub nose. Her father was a very tall man with brown hair and green eyes, like her, he cared for his daughter deeply. Phoebe also have two younger sisters, Elisa, who is eight years at the moment and Charlotte, who is three years old. They are all a happy family and love each other.

Phoebe was sitting in her room on her bed and trying to switch on the lights with her mind. She don't know why but sometimes things happen only when she thinks about it. Elisa likes it and her mother is proud of her, when she do something with her mind. It also happened that she read somebody's mind, that was funny. The best thing she can do and don't know why is, that she can change the length of her hair herself.  Now she is sitting in her bed and thinking about the light and suddenly it switched on. She trained her knack and can do it nearly by command. She loved sitting in her princess bed, it is white with pink pillows and a pink blanket. It suit perfect to her pink coloured wall and her white furniture. She heard the mail slot falling and knew that the post had been arrived, so she went up and got the post. Three letters for her dad, two for her mum, a postcard from aunt Alissa and a letter for "Phoebe McAlister". She opened the letter and read:

Dear Mrs. McAlister,

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Students shall be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival, the dates for which shall be duly advised.

Please ensure that the utmost attention be made to the list of requirements attached herewith.

We very much look forward to receiving you as part of the new generation of Hogwarts' heritage.

Phoebe took out the second paper and read it through:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY 

Uniform:

First-year students will require:

1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2. One plain pointed hat for day wear (black)

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide)

4. One winter cloak (black, silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupils' clothes should carry name tags.

Set Books:

All students should have a copy of each of the following:

- The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1) by Miranda Goshawk

- A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot

- Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffling

- A Beginners' Guild of Transfiguration by Emeric Switch

- One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore

- Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger

- Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander

- The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble

Other Equipment:

1 Wand

1 Cauldron (pewter, standard size 2)

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring an owl or a cat or a toad.

You can find these equipment in the Diagon Alley, here is a box with floopowder, just step into the chimney and say Diagon Alley and you will be there, the same to come home. We are waiting for you on the 1st of September in Kings Cross on the platform 9 3/4, hopefully you will find it.

She read through the letter twice and began to smile, she knew, that she was something special, everything made sense now. She got up from her bed and ran to the bedroom from her parents.

"Mum, Dad look what I have got today, it is soooo coooool!"

She gave the letter to her amazed parents and they read it through quickly. They smiled at Phoebe and hugged her.Her mother added:

"I knew that you were special, the day we adopted you, please do not tell your siblings about that. We are proud and if you want we can go to this Diagon Alley today together if you want to?"

"Yeah, that would be great", Phoebe said and hugged her parents again.

She stood up and went to the kitchen today was a fabulous day. She began cooking breakfast and after a while her whole family was with her in the kitchen. Her father just said:

"I think we have to check you out from your school you are going at the moment, you have to know", he said to the two girls, "your sister is going to a very good school this year and hopefully she will do well there."

The two girls clapped their hands in joy and ate their breakfast. After that, the father went with the two girls shopping and the same did the other two women.
