Two Worlds Apart

Chapter 1:

I'm finally getting a story I have had sitting in my docs for a while now up for everyone to read and enjoy.

to let you all know I'm not dead or have stopped writing I was just busy with college and I was working on the cover for the story so I'm glad you all have stuck with me.

Scarlet's POV:

Sprinting through the forest blocking the view of the barrier to the Monster realm I swiftly jump over the countless obstacles blocking my path to the princess. It was only the other night that I sensed two demonic presences in the castle. Trying my best to get to the princess's quarters to protect her, but I was too late as the intruders took her and ran for the monster realm. It had taken days for me to track the demons that took princess Eliza, but it didn't matter anymore. I was getting closer to the barrier, spotting the opening in the barrier that will lead me to the fantasy of monsters. My momentum was cut short as my foot caught on what I thought was a rock " Damn it" I mumbled under my breath pushing myself up to look at what I had tripped over. I was shocked when the object took a sharp breath and reached out to my hand, shocked I quickly shuffle back " what the hell?" I gasp " please... Help... Me" the body spoke. Standing up I stared down at the individual " I'm sorry sir but I cannot heal you as the forest is dying alongside you" I told the man " you... Have to... Help me" he demands not understanding the situation " I cannot heal you sir the forest is what allows me to heal people, but with the state the forest is in due to the tear in the spirit barrier it does not hold the power I need to heal you" I speak softly before placing my hand upon his head " just close your eyes" I whisper creating a soothing atmosphere around him so he may pass painlessly. When the man's body stilled it is time for me to continue my search. Standing I speed off to the barrier making it through just as a large creature from the spirit realm wanders close to the barrier " that was a close call" I pant glancing back at the barrier opening " now to find the princess" I turn forward.

I calmly walk down a path through the surrounding forest that hides the barrier. Catching my breath I start to speed up my pace so I can exit the forest quicker to make progress in my mission. After speeding through the forest I finally make it to the exit to find the entrance to a village " maybe one of the villagers spotted the princess" I ponder slowing my pace to a walk.

Azazel's POV

Running from the monsters that have been chasing me for hours, I hold a piece of cargo over my shoulder. Looking ahead and I see a cavern that had a dead end, dropping the cargo with a thud and brought out my chain and sickle. I throw the chain at the horned beast pulling him closer to me and stabbing the pointed part of the sickle into the beast's head. The monster soon fell to the ground and releasing my sickle with a poof. I look back at the cargo I had and saw it had vanished "God damn it.." I curse looking around and smelling for what I had been carrying. I find the scent and I see that it was.. In the air? I look up to see something flying and dash down at me. "Holy shit!" I shout, running away from the monster, I summon my chain and sickle again and threw the chain at them, only to miss, the monster swooped down and grabbed me by the shoulder and it had dropped me and itself falling to the ground. It tumbles as I get my sickle and charge at the beast. "Ow.." it exclaims, i look closely and see the cargo I was currently in charge of. One of the princesses from the Doomkeeper residence. "My god you had startled me! Why the hell did you do that?" I yell at the girl, "Do what?" I look at her heterochromic eyes, and saw that they were white but slowly faded to their natural blue and purple. I sighed and rested my hand on my neck "you mean- you don't remember what just happened?" I ask looking at her confused, she tilts her head and I let out another sigh, "well let's get going we need to get back to Abaddon.." I say making my way to pick her up until she pushed me away "uh.. I can walk by myself thank you very much!" she says getting up and brushing off her dress. She walked in front of me and I saw two holes in the back of her dress, where two wings had grown?
