I feel like there's a poisonous part in every Fandom. Whether that be a bad ship, a dark side, or just strange fanfiction, I've seen it all. But by far, the worst few I've seen are
K-Pop, Baldi's Basics, Voltron, Undertale, Sonic, and Gravity Falls. Don't get me wrong, I am OK with people making fanart of their favorite characters and everything. I do it too! But I think it's strange to have a fictional relationship with the said character through a fanfic or just being delusional. I know, I know. I said "I don't like fanfic".. Bite me. I am completely fine with fanfic and shipping two characters, as long as it doesn't go against what the rest of the Canon universe is like. For example, If my wolf universe was a show or movie and people shipped Cerulea and Raima, or Cerulea and Raime(a different character I haven't released yet), I would not like the fanfiction for those ships. It's utterly unrealistic in relation to the plot. Now I will continue this rant, but for the games/music groups/shows above.
K-Pop
For those that don't know, K-pop is a subculture of music that originated from Korea. One of the more well known bands related to K-Pop is BTS. And we all know better than to say "I don't like BTS" in a comment section because there will be knives held to your throat. Not all of the Fandom is poisonous, a rule that I'd like to be known as true for the rest of the Fandoms I'll mention. There are perfectly harmless people who just like the music and band members. That's fine. I like a bunch of bands, I'd be a hypocrite if I said that was bad. But there's also the strange side. Where thirsty 12 year olds are forming fictional relationships with the K-pop band members. This is especially prevalent for BTS. There are the people with foot fetishes, who collage pictures of the member(s)'s feet on their Instagram. Now you can have a fetish and all but WHY DOES IT NEED TO BE PUBLIC? just keep it private man, we don't want random people's feet in our time line when we're looking for pictures of dogs. One of my friends at my school helped me come up with this rant, and I'm going to use a quote from the conversation we had.
"I have seen way to many people like 'Jin-hwong-hwong is my daddy!" on the internet. It's really creepy." Obviously the name isn't a real group or member, but you get the gist. I totally agree with her statement. It's creepy. You can have an idol crush, but you are most likely 8-16 and the stars are (most of the time) 20-30 years old. But if you have a crush, maybe keep it private a bit? I don't just continuously post pictures of me photoshopped badly next to my crush, why do you do it? And if you do it, why post it? Keep it private. Or share it with your friends. Do whatever you need to do so people who don't want to don't see it. Now, for the next topic.
Baldi's Basics
Baldi's basics is a horror game that gained momentum when popular YouTubers began to play it this year. It is a great game—I've played it myself and still play it when I get bored. But just as there is for nearly everything, there's a toxic part to the Fandom. The game stars a teacher with a ruler that essentially smacks you to death if you miss a math question. You can guess how some people twist that to make it sexual. Like, stop. Let us enjoy the game. I've seen people who make really bad art and cringy animations with their "characters" saying things like "Baldi is my husband and if you touch him I will KILL YOU." or "Baldi is dating me and nobody else. We have 3 kids.". They are always young children. And hey, you do you kid. But please, please do not send death threats to people who are just as delusional as you. That's like telling me that I should die because I think that your dog is cute just like you think it's cute. The fuck. Now I also am a regular viewer of Deviantart Cringe (a highly RECCOMENDED YouTuber),who had made a video about the cringey and..... Disturbing... sides of the Baldi's basics Fandom. There are some decent art and, I hate to say it, fanfiction out there. But notice that they don't out the creator's characters or the creator in a fictional relationship with the said character from the game. Seriously, everything I like ends up turning toxic and in sick of it.
Voltron
Don't get me wrong. Voltron is a good show. There's nothing bad about the show itself. Don't say that I am saying the whole show and Fandom are bad. They truly aren't. What is bad are the fanfictions and the fanarts again. For reference fanfictions that are cringy are "_____ x reader" or "______ x (character from another Fandom)". If you will ship, you need evidence to back it up. Does one of the characters show romantic interest? Do both? Are they worst enemies? Do they even know eachother? These are key questions to ask yourself when building a ship. Again, if you like these fanfics then you do you. I just think they're a little disgusting. Please don't hold a knife to my throat, thank you~!
Undertale
A personal favorite game of mine. It's hard to explain other than its a fantasy game. And it's amazing. Unfortunately, it's in the same situation as Baldi's Basics and Voltron combined. You get (_____ x reader/other character) as well as get the cringy fangirls who think they are "married to" or "dating" the fictional characters. Heck, you can't look up the name of a character without some sexual image popping up. NO, I DIDN'T SEARCH FOR THAT, I WANTED A REFERENCE GOOGLE. Try this for yourselves. Google "Sans Undertale" and see how many pictures you can go through before finding a sexual one. My top score is 18. Comment yours.
Sonic
Oh, don't even get me STARTED. THE SONIC OCs, THE SONIC (___ x reader/unrelated character) FANFICS, THE DISGUSTING FANGIRLS. everything about the Fandom was ruined. It was burned at the stake and given to Satan himself. Heck, this Fandom probably has come from Satan's ASS. if you like the game, that's OK. That's normal. But if you are in a fictional relationship with the character, get the hell away from me. I'm sorry, but I find it repulsive. Everytime I see that somebody read or liked one of these things, it makes me want to just jump from a cliff. Again, I find it repulsive. You can read them, but it's disgusting to me.
Gravity Falls
Thankfully, this Fandom isnt as bad as the aforementioned ones. It's fairly good, a nice community and tons of fellow artists and writers. But of course, it has its dark side. Mostly hurt the "______ x reader" FANFICS, but I've also seen something that we all know is disgusting. I saw a fricking "Bill Cypher x Dipper" fanfic. I didn't read it, of course, but I saw the cover and it made me want to yet again jump from a cliff.

A lot of other people agree with my opinion.... And honestly if you're in a fictional relationship with a character through a story or any other means, you need mental help my friend.
