D: "What is the best lie that you've ever told yourself?"
K: "He loves me."
Kaminari Denki and Eijirou Kirishima were best friends and they were like two peas in a pot, according to how people around them view their friendship. They knew everything about each other, there were no lies or secrets between them, but sometimes, it would be an exception. Denki looked at Kirishima humming while trailing along with every move of Bakugou, who was training on the field, Denki asked.
"Does it hurt? Love a person who doesn't love you?"
Kirishima stopped humming and gave Denki a side glance then continued to look at Bakugou. He seemed to have difficulty answering the question. After a long silence, Kirishima finally broke the uneasy silence.
"You have to tell lies to yourself everyday that you're fine."
Denki sighed. Kirishima did not answer the question directly, but Denki knew Kirishima was referring to the pain his friend was going through throughout his words. It hurt. A lot. Two friends, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere before Denki blurted out another question.
"What is the best lie that you've ever told yourself?"
Kirishima paused his actions, but his eyes were still following every movement of the boy he loved.
"He loves me."
