                                          Pierce's POV

I grabbed my stuff and started to leave the school.

“Hey Pierce!” Amy shouted, running towards me.

“I’m walking home with you.” Amy smiled.

“You mean to the bus stop?” I pondered.

“Yeah, come on.” Amy stated. We were about a mile away from the school before we knew it. “Wow, we got here fast!” Amy said. I nodded and the bus stop was in view. Then the next thing I knew I heard yelling from behind me. I saw Twain, Swarch, and Makage, looking terrified.

“Get him!” Twain yelled. My eyes widened and Amy jumped out of the way while I was tackled to the ground.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I shouted.

“We don’t want another American in this school! Besides, if you want to stay, we are going to tear you apart!” Twain yelled and pulled his arm back. I winced as I felt his hand collide with my face, then the next thing I knew I had stopped his other hand from hitting me, and I was furious. I grunted angrily and punched him across the face, making him land with a thump.

                                            Amy’s POV

I covered my mouth. I didn’t know what to do! I saw Twain get up and wipe the blood from his nose. Twain yelled and tackled Pierce the the ground. Pierce groaned and Twain sat on top of him, punching him in the face.

“Pierce!” I screamed and instantly ran to them. I tried getting Twain off of him and Twain swung his arm and knocked me off of my feet. I gasped for breath. I got the wind knocked out of me. I heard the rubble shift and I looked to see Pierce getting up and throwing Twain at Swarch.

“Don’t you EVER lay your filthy hands on a girl…” Pierce narrowed his eyes. “Now, get out of here!”

“Don’t think this is the end! We’ll be back!” Swarch shouted and ran off with Twain. I moaned as I sat up.

“Amy!” Pierce ran to me and helped me up.

“I’m fine, I just… Where’s Makage?” I looked around to see he was nowhere to be found.

“He probably got spooked and ran home.” Pierce replied. We started walking. I felt a sharp pain in my left leg and I looked to see blood streaks. “I think we should get you to a hospital.”

“It’s nothing… I’ll just patch it up when I get home.”

“What will your mom say?”

“I’ll just tell her that I was racing you home and I tripped… hard.”

“Well, look at the bright side, at least you won’t have to run in gym tomorrow.”

“I guess you’re right.” I smiled and we walked home. As soon as we got on my porch, I weakly pulled on the screen door. I almost tripped on my leg.

“Woah!” Pierce panicked and pulled me close to him. I blushed.

“I can get in on my own… thanks for walking me here.”

“It’s the least I can do.” He smiled and I walked inside. I waved to him as I slowly closed the door. I sighed in happiness and I spun on the foot that wasn’t injured. This was love. It had to be. Then, I thought for a second. Makage! Was he okay? I had to look for him. I turned and accidentally landed on my foot. I fell and screeched in pain. My mom ran out.

“Amy! Are you okay?!” She helped me up.

“Yeah, I just need an icepack.” I replied, quietly.
