We all went through the feeling that Eve is going through right now. The pressure of moving. This time it was different for Eve. She was not just moving the way she did the past times, she was moving to another country. She was moving to the United States and leaving Japan behind.
The flight to California was about to go off. Eve was kind of pissed by the fact that it was going to be an eleven hour flight. But Eve mostly felt lonely and overwhelmed because she knew that it was going to be hard for her to make new friends and leave her old friends behind. After all she knew no one in California. Her friends went to the airport to say goodbye, she was amazed and happy, but now she was just sitting and looking through the window. Drowning in her own powerless thoughts that made her hold a few tears back while letting others accidentally show.
The idea of leaving everyone and everything behind did not scare a girl in which eyes you could see a million forests. She currently felt like she had nobody. We all had those fights with our friends that ended in laughing or made us cry until we realized it was better for us to be apart. Though, we knew we couldn't look at that person or talk to them without remembering the moments when you were close, like two magnets that were always together before they fell apart and all that's left are our memories together. We try to deny that those hurtful memories are still with us, but deep inside we know they will never leave us. They will always stay there ripping our hearts apart with no escape from it. Some people find it too much for them and decide to make up with their "friends" leaving a vulnerable band aid that is enough to cover up a little bit of the truth, but not to fill the gap inside us, that grows bigger and keeps on hurting us, but still we manage to hide it.

Sometimes it's better to let go than to hold on.

Phoebe saw a beautiful side in everything with her peaceful soul. She wouldn't expect a Japanese girl to come to her school just when school is starting after holidays. She was currently sitting on the branch of a tree thinking about her "ex-friends" that wouldn't talk to her after stopping her for communicating with them in every way they could. Blocking her on Instagram, WhatsApp and every platform where she would usually talk with them about all their stupid stuff and plans. Those were the memories that left a gap of emptiness inside her. We usually convince ourselves that our "ex-friends" are bad people and we were only used by them. Truth is that when friends decide to go their own way, normally there's no bad side, just old friends who decided not to be together anymore and keep their relationship as an experience. Phoebe tried not to think about them, but what else could she do? Two months ago they seemed like everything to her, and suddenly, she can't help but feel alone. We've all felt that way, and we can't help but feel sorry for Phoebe, and for ourselves, and for everyone who has to go through this emotions. At least we know they are temporary and that somehow, happiness and inspiration will come back to us, weather you are on a plane about to leave the whole world you've known behind or you are sitting on your own thinking about why are you there. You will be back on your feet to live once more. And we're there to support you, through the motivational speeches that a school director gives us, even through the smile of the cute cashier that caught your eye at Starbucks. We are there. Don't worry.

Eve finally arrived Santa Bárbara and she knew soon she would start high school, but not her usual high school with her usual friends, her usual teachers, her usual language, her usual structure... At this point we could see no positive emotion in Eve but at least she thought about decorating her new room to distract herself from all the negative thoughts.

Meanwhile, Rachel was happily looking for a new phone case at the apple store in his street. She couldn't decide which color, we could see this just by looking at how the continuous tapping on her new glasses and her weird nervous look at all the different options. Little did she know the girl he had a crush on, Emma, was just outside, ready to make her panic as soon as she entered the shop to say hi. So Emma walked through the shop inevitably pushing some people aside, to get to Rachel. She tapped her on the shoulder twice before Rachel could react. As soon as she looked, her face of embarrassment and confusion was very clear. —Hi Rachel, how's everything?— she said quietly —I'm sorry what?— replied Emma while tapping her ear twice, Rachel didn't realise Emma had her AirPods on —What are you doing here?— claimed Rachel a little bit louder this time, —Nothing, just saw you here while I was walking by and decided it was a good idea to talk to you ya know?— She laughed friendly —Wanna get some coffee later?, I get out of work at 15:00 o'clock— offered Emma —...Yeah sure!— replied Rachel —Ok!, call me at 15:10 or so ok?— before Rachel could say anything, Emma was gone, and a laugh accompanied by a blush was drawn across Rachel's face.
