I'll let you know my favorite thing,
The best that this earth has to offer.
Though it's not easy to chose only one,
For there is just so much this special place has for us.
Take a look at the sky, never ending blue with a spot of yellow, a spot of light shining for the whole world.
Littered with white, fluffy clouds that can leave the sun shrouded and obscured.
But you always know it'll continue to shine without failure.
The snow-white chunks of cotton dangling from above can shift to dark grey balls of lint,
cluttering together as if they were in a lint trap that's miles in length and width.
And while the sky is in this state of mind something comes about, dropping down to earth's surface in waves, in mists and in splashes.
"What's your favorite thing about earth?"
"Rain."
For the rain is able to clean everything below leaving no unwanted stains and it can fall for hours to make sure the job is done well.
The rain cleanses our surface, each droplets simultaneous impact produces a sweet calming sound, one that most people are able to fall asleep to.
When the rain falls it douses the land, the grassy plains and flower patches' thirst is finally quenched after prolonged dehydration, thanks to the sky.
Thanks to the sky there is harmony, there is safety and there is healing.
Thanks to the earth.
With the breeze blowing and whistling, with the birds chirping, this planet has so many things to give to it's inhabitants, a seemingly infinite list that I could continue to go on to describe in broad detail,
But for me there's one that stands out crystal clear.
The most important thing.
There's one that is my favorite treasure.
Treasure beyond all other gifts.
If you were to ask me the subject in question, my answer would be instantaneous for I know it by heart.
So go ahead and ask me for my favorite thing about earth.
"What's your favorite thing about earth?"
"You."
Corny in immediate registration of what I just said but I assure you there's plenty of reasons why my mind has been clearly made.
Looking at you, I see more than the world.
More than just earth, more than the solar system.
I see so much in one thing and it's clearly otherworldly.
In your eyes I see the never ending sky and all the seven seas together in one and I imagine complete depth with waves of emotion.
Whatever symbolism emanates from those eyes, I know instantly it's something that I can trust.
In your smile I see a blossoming brightness that can never be dimmed by any amount of cloud or darkness,
More radiant than any star.
It's natural ability to give joy to its seer is a special unknown magic that may frighten some but does not scare me away even the slightest.
It can't scare me away because it's too busy directing butterflies to my stomach.
Able to produce vocals that are more calming than rain, more soothing than the whistles of the wind.
I'm drawn to that smile,
I'm hopelessly attracted to that light.
In your hair I see locks of graceful golden silk soft to the touch and no less than elegant.
When the wind takes hold and gently takes hold and lets it flutter, I begin and never cease to be amazed at the overall sights that you are as a whole.
It was those rose tinted cheeks that caught me off guard.
From a masterpiece by a highly renowned artists,
The most beautiful mural ever known to man.
When I'm with you you're all that I see and when I see you I know that you're all I'll ever need,
These words of mine, branded, embedded on my forehead so you can see them each and every time.
So you can forever know my mind body and soul will always belong to you,
No matter how weak one may be.
There it is, my answer to the question.
I'm continuously falling for a very special thing,
I wasn't pushed off this ledge, I wasn't pressured to fall.
Freely I stepped off,
Knowingly I went down.
My favorite thing about earth is someone that has the earth within them.
Consistency is has always been key but with the earth of things to be favored, not all are able to stay.
The sun will set and the sky will darken,
Rain will not always fall.
Though they will come back, they have not departed forever,
You are the thing that always stays the same.
My favorite thing about earth is you.
