"Mom wake up it's a wonderful day because today's your birthday." Said my daughter Christie she lives with me because I'm to old now to be by myself I have no help since my husband died. "Oh hunny it's not a special day I just got even more old I'm now 72 years old." I said laughing. "Oh come on now I have to go to the store to get some stuff, oh and by the way I found your old photo album from your childhood in the closet if you wanted to see it here you go." She said giving me the album that was covered in dust. "Oh boy this hadn't been touched in years since I was a child." I laughed. "Well you should go through it you might find some old memories I'm gonna go now okay Mom I love you Happy birthday again by the way I'll be home around 6 tonight I have alot of errands." She said as she kissed my cheek.  "Be careful deer call me when your on the way back okay?" And she was gone I decided to go through the album it hasn't been touched in god I would have to say 62 years ago but it was locked and I was trying to remember why. "There has to be a key somewhere around here to this I bet it's in the closet somewhere." I said as I got up and walked to the closet I found some old clothes, jewelry and the key! "Aha I bet this is it." I gasped. "Click". It had opened up for me, inside was some pictures when I was just a girl. Until I ran across one that scarred me and everything I could ever remember was there in my head again.

It was long ago when I was ten years old on my birthday my father had gotten me a doll the only present I got that day he got it on his way home from war. My father served in the army when I was a child. "Happy birthday to you happy birthday to you." My father was singing standing at the end of my bed. "Wake up sleepy head it's your birthday your officially ten today." He picked me up and hugged me."what you get me what you get me!" I said in excitement knowing every year my dad gets me something. It was just me and my dad growing up I never knew my mom  when he was in the war my aunt Victoria watched me. "Get dressed and come downstairs and you will see." He said smiling as he left and went down stairs. I hurried up got my clothes on and ran down the stairs. "Where is it where is it!" I was so excited. He pulled out a huge box wrapped in brown wax paper. "Now here you go princess I know you will love this one." He was so happy to give it to me. I started ripping the box until all the paper was gone, eventually I got to the end in a huge box with one of those plastic windows was a dolls face she was so pretty I thought. "Oh my God Daddy I love her thank you so much!" I had yelled. "I'm so glad you do I knew you would." He had said almost crying that he made me happy. I took her out of the box she was so delicate and soft, I absolutely adored her. "Oh daddy can I please go outside to the tree house and play pretty please!" I begged I really wanted to play with my new friend. "Okay okay just please be careful okay?" My dad had said smiling as he hugged me then I ran outside.
