"Cara! Cara! Gising na, class is already over", I was awakened by a slight nudge and a familiar voice calling, trying to bring me back to consciousness. I blink and rub my eyes as I ajusted them to the brightness in the room.
"Terrence?" tawag ko sa unang taong nakita ko pagkagising ko. I looked around and knew na nasa classroom pala ako.
"Hey Cara, ayos ka lang? Do you want to rest before we go?" tanong niya nang mapansing parang nagtataka at wala ako sa sarili. I stared at him for a good few seconds then looked at my wristwatch, 10:00 am. Sa pagkakaalam ko may susunod pa kaming subject after nito, san naman kami pupunta?
"Go? What do you mean go? we still have our next subject after this. Hindi mo naman siguro sinasuggest na magcutting tayo, kasi kung oo aba't college na tayo Terrence Samaniego, di tayo mga highschool na pwedeng pachill chill lang", panenermon ko sa kanya. I really didn't think na siya pa of all people ang mag-aayang magcut classes kami.
He looked at me confused. "What are you talking about? Anong cutting ba ang pinagsasasabi mo Cara Hidalgo? Is your mind still sleeping? Wala na tayong klase after this. Tara na, bilisan mo at baka malate tayo sa misa", sabi niya sakin.
Now I'm really confused, sa pagkakaalala ko July 12 kahapon, which is thursday, which means friday ngayon at hanggang 12 pa ng hapon ang klase namin.
I took out my phone to check the date, 13th of July, tama naman ako.....

13th of July, 2019?! WHAT THE HELL?! Bakit 2019 ang year?! Nasira na ba ang phone ko?! Ano bang nangyayari?! I was brought back to reality when a pair of hands cupped my face.
"Hey Cara! You're worrying me. Ano bang nangyayari sayo at lutang na lutang ka ata? Kanina lang ang ayos mo, but then when you woke up you became weirder than usual. Is something wrong? Does your head hurt?" mahabang litanya sakin ni Terrence.
Umiling nalang ako then asked, "Rence, anong date na ba ngayon? Yung buong date, including the year" baka kasi pinaglaruan na naman ni Fara (my little sister) ang phone ko and accidently changed the year.
He looked at me, shocked by what I just asked him. "The heck Cara? What games are you playing? Kanina lang you kept bugging me about today, and then now you're gonna ask me kung anong date ngayon? Are you sure you're okay? But to answer your question it's July 13, 2019".
As soon as I heard his answer I froze. Shit, this was real. Anong gagawin ko?! I leaped one whole year, how am I suppose to act?!
"Cara?" Shit, si Terrence. I can't just tell him this, he might think I'm insane or just worry more. For now, I just have to go with the flow.
"Ah Rence, nasan na pala yung iba?" pertaining to our other friends na mia since I woke up.
"Oh, kanina pa sila umalis. Alam naman kasi nila na may lakad tayo. Tara na, baka malate pa tayo", he said then smiled.
Now this is even weirder, oo nga't close kami ni Terrence, pero never pa kaming umalis ng kaming dalawa lang. Natigilan ako ng makita ko yung kamay niya na nakalahad sa harap ko as if waiting for something. I didn't know what to do so I just high fived him.
Kumunot naman ang noo niya, then maybe he noticed the confusion that was, I think is very evident in my expression and said "Bag"
"Huh? Why do you want my bag?" he just laughs and snatches my bag from me, and then basically drags me to his car. Though I am confused on what is happening, I just stayed silent.
